I’ll be doing an analysis of everyone’s posts and you will find out where you stand where you stand when the list of board libs / patriots is released
Oh noooooooooooos! It's the end of the world! Whatever shall I do?

You know, I'd might be a little worried about your judgment if you weren't the sort of person who hero-worships a politician that, like most politicians, couldn't be troubled to piss on you if you were on fire. That's more than a little pathetic and lacking in self-respect, but each to their own.

Okay, okay, it's true. I lied. I wouldn't be at all worried even then. 😉

But hey, don't let that stop you. You go, boy!

He really is a sad lib.

Pretty crazy to see how many of them there are in this board, I only realized these last few days.

I am considering releasing a list of board libs (based off woke comments made) as a separate thread so that the wokesters in this fan base are exposed.
The scourge of this board is not liberals or MAGAs, but the people that come here with an axe to grind and make every single frigging thread about their stupid ideology.

This is true. Although I think it extends well beyond just this board. I think the scourge of the US right now, and a national security problem, is the out of control mindless partisanship by the ideologically addicted.

Makes our electorate way, way too easy to manipulate in any number of dangerous ways, both obvious and subtle.

It’s lib or patriot.. emphasis on or.
You aren’t a patriot. You are an ideologue that doesn’t accept that the foundation of the country is the peaceful transfer of power through elections and the rule of law. Maybe Trump will succeed in getting reelected and then once in office doing away with elections except for show as his buddy Putin has. But that doesn’t make his followers patriots. Extremist zealots maybe.

But that's not what you wrote.
Doesn't really matter what he wrote, right? His chosen board name tells us all we need to know about him.

And I'd say exactly the same thing had he chosen "JoeBidenIsTheGOAT" or any other similar hero-worship of a any politician-themed board name, regardless of ideological or party affinity. Worshiping politicians (or actors or other public figures) says many things about a person, most of them pretty bad.

Don't get sucked into a pseudo-political debate. That's what he wants. Just make fun of him or ignore him.

Or do both at the same time, which is the most fun for us. 😃

Lot of people here are equating forgiveness with permanent banishment. He f-ed up big time but all the evidence out there shows he acknowledged it and reformed.

A Rutgers Great

Best RU RB I’ve ever seen and it’s not even close
If he had played his 4th year, and just reached his seasonal average, he would have been all-time, career rusher for D1.

The thing to remember about Rice is that for 2 years straight every opponent knew what Rice and RU would do. They made stopping Rice #1 and couldn't

Not the we know of .
But most domestic abusers don’t do it in front of cameras like in a Casino or something.

Yet there is evidence that he has lived up to his statements and none that he has regressed. No ER or other medical evidence. But apparently once guilty always guilty.

Yes there are those like you like to point out when others are allowing themselves to forgive Ray Rice because they feel he changed into a better person and addressed the issue that made him the scum of the world.

As many times you might imply Rice might be still an abuser , there are signs that he’s not.
I’ll go with the thought he made himself into a better person deserving another chance for respect.

Not everyone might feel that way, so you might have others that look at Ray in a questionable manner like you seem to be doing.

Article I'm posting (the link below) is something to think about whether Ray Rice is still an abuser or if he has become someone worthy of our respect
I'll go with the worthy of respect, you can keep on implying he's not .

>Rice has spoken to more than a dozen NFL and college teams to share his story, including the Ravens. He speaks to the team's rookies at their annual educational seminar. When Rice shares his story, he hopes he can make a positive impact on young men so they don't make the same mistake.<

He had an incredible ability to absorb the initial contact, keep his legs moving and fall forward for an extra 3-4 yards after an initial 4-5 yards. Very demoralizing for a defense.

Rice was essentially the perfect running back IMO. Yes short but that's not a huge problem at RB and can be a significant advantage. Rice was world class at standing to top speed, even though his top speed wasn't quite the best. Just a phenomenal player and glad it seems he's turned things around.

Curiously the military and corporations are finding that people who made mistakes in life and rebounded from them are better to have in an organization than all timid normies who lived in fear of mistakes.

"While some leaders may believe they should appear flawless to their teams, a new study finds there are benefits for those who reflect on and learn from their mistakes.

In four related studies, researchers found that when leaders took time to reflect on what they learned from their errors, they showed more humility, a quality known to make managers more effective.

In addition, this research found that under some circumstances, teams performed better when their leaders learned from missteps.

“Everyone makes mistakes – even the best leaders inevitably do – but leaders are often expected to act dominant, confident, and be the people fixing mistakes rather than making them. And that attitude may actually make them less effective,” said Jasmine Hu, lead author of the study and professor of management at The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business."

I think Barry Sanders is best RB I ever saw.
Then you had guys like Emmit, Tiki, Gore and other compact RBs.
Rice had huge legs with calves bigger than DTs.
His arm was like a third leg that he would use to add YAC yards (or stiff arm a defender).
He had tremendous burst and knew how to hide behind OL (sometimes holding on to their jerseys).
Down lineman have a hard time seeing a back as compact and fast as Rice bursting through like.
Rice was also a point guard on a top HS basketbal team and despite having power to use he also knew how to slip, trickle and burst through a congested LOS. He moved through obstacles like a downhill brook.
I like big backs like King Henry, NYG's Jacobs, Eric Dickerson etc but I would take a Rice or Sanders first.
I think the compact guys also stay heathier than the big battering ram guys

Sanders was so talented I almost put him in another class (his own) of rb. It's like LT and then every other linebacker.

There is a Sander's documentary out this year and on Prime.
Sanders could cut on a dime, spin, leap, pivot and still get back to full speed without a hitch,
He was like a beam of light hitting a glass of water, slowing down and then emerging full speed again
I also think he's best RB ever - he was also a very good person.
He's like the most mild, humble person you would meet.

Awesome.

Keep in mind, getting immediately triggered, using vulgarity, belittling others to make them feel better, and saying they won a blog argument for the ever elusive blog trophy.

LOL!!

Have a Happy New Year Everbody.

The International Bowl game in Toronto against Ball State was so much fun. Ray was unstoppable (280 yards) and just ran right over them.

He also has NY State single game rushing record - 462 yards on 42 carries in 2004 (won state title).
Believe it or not his few D1 offers were for DB (he was all-state).
He liked Rutgers after SU fell apart because Schiano told him he could play RB

Don’t need to condemn the guy or forgive him . He was a great football player for rutgers. He was a football player , not a role Model
No one should care about what these guys do in their personal lives. There is no need to build this guy up for what he did …after he clocked the girl in the elevator. Celebrate the guy that didn’t do it in the first place

does his speech to the ravens players tell them not to get drunk or take whatever the supplements he was on at the time?

The people will decide if they agree with this, since they never stop wearing Rice's Jersey, I think they will embrace it.

Unpopular opinion that Will surprise some, I don't support this personally! He was a great player, on the field, but it is NEVER acceptable for a man to punch a woman!

No one is exempt from their adult actions. Alcohol or whatever, it does not matter. Ignorance or drunkenness is no excuse. Ray is lucky his now wife didn't fall and hit her head, causing her death.

My 🙏 are with her only, as many abused women lie about it and eventually end up dead. Football is a privilege, not a right. I am thankful Ray Rice is not thought of today like O.J. Simpson, after all many people die from falls, not to mention punches!

It is NEVER acceptable but one can also be forgiven and change. Ray seems to have changed for the good and his wife has clearly forgiven him. No reason for fans to hold a grudge. Also doesn’t mean you have to fly a flag in support of Ray.

We should always praise the me/women/boys & girls that stay out of trouble.
As for sports personalities being rile models, yeas they shouldn't be made one.
But they are and we need to accept that fact unless we know a way to make the public think differently.
Charles Barkley once said sports personalities are role models, that didn't change the public's opinion a.
No one is building Ray up for what he did, only recognizing what Rice has done to make himself a better person .
There's nothing wrong with that, just like those that can't forgive what Rice did shouldn't be put down, but be told when someone changes his/her behavior from scum to respectable that needs to be noticed like the bad act that made them scum of the earth was noticed
Drinking and roids are probably part of the speeches he gives warns the players to avoid in his talks to the players.

Could be that his wife might talk about how both of their actions that night were a recipe for disaster.
There is no excuse for Ray's actions, Janay night out drinking resulted in a bad situation that Ray made worse by acting like a scumbag and ( as you put it) clocking her
But Rice is doing everything to male amends for his scummy action that night, trying to help others from doing the same and earning back respect for changing himself into a better person. That's what I'm talking about.

If you don't feel he deserves a second chance for respect, that's your right and I'm sure there are many more like you.
So cast all the stones you like at Ray Rice for what he did. Feel no matter what he tries to do to make amends isn't enough .
Imply he's still abusing his wife if you feel the need and think he is.
I'll just give Rice a little credit to owning up to what he did, trying to be a better person than he was when he acted like scum and like how he's trying to help others avoid being the kind of person he was.

Rice was part of the Baltimore Ravens history and I'm glad he proved deserving of the honor they are giving him .
He deserves that honor for the way he played and how he turned himself from what he was before into someone that can be respected now .

You know Nicole Brown Simpson used to run cover for O.J., many things that seem to be are not true. This is why I said playing is a privilege, not a right. Ray should thank GOD no further damage occurred! I used to be a big fan, I hope he is a changed man.

As a privilege, when you do something terrible you may not be allowed back in the public eye, those are the breaks.

Case in point, I like many fans liked hearing Rock-N-Roll part 2 by a cretin named Gary Glitter. It used to play at every sporting event. I had a Sports Gorilla that used to dance as the song played, loved it. Well talent does not make you a good person. You have not heard that song anywhere in years, and will never hear it again. Here is why, G.G. got busted in Thailand for being a pedophile and rightfully no one wants to draw attention to this scum.

Now this thread is funny with some making it political. Ray was only unlucky because he snapped after his wear and tear started to show. The NFL has drafted felons First overall, they only care about production. He fits great into the NFL, even looks tame compared to other darlings like Tyreke Hill. The Shield will just not protect beat up players who have seen their best days!

So @RUTGERS95 is liberal, eh?

Heh heh. Heh. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.

That's seriously the funniest thing I've read in 2023. It's hilarious in no small part due to the irony of the fact that he "accuses" me of being liberal every time I say something he disagrees about. While at the same time, there are lots of others who "accuse" me of being conservative. 🤣 Which is it? Make up your minds 'cause, you know, it's sooooo important, sooooo useful, to properly categorize people that way.

These days, when people use the terms "liberal" or "conservative" in any serious way, I deduct lots of IQ points from them. Both terms have long since become entirely meaningless. You have to be particularly slow not to recognize that.

The two terms, today, actually mean exactly the same thing. The closest to an accurate representation of today's meaning of the two terms is: "someone with whom I disagree so strongly that my brain shuts off".

It's not a good look. But y'all carry on with it 'cause it's very entertaining to watch.
well I do have some 'socially liberal views' but I don't think he was referring to that lolololololololololol

kid can't read as we're seeing

back on point, glad Ray turned his life around and would have preferred he was drafted by the Steelers!
