2018 Yadkin Valley 1A Conference pre-season predictions

1. North Stanly, 7-0 conference, 9-2 overall
2. North Rowan, 6-1, 7-4
3. West Montgomery, 5-2, 8-3
T4. Albemarle, 3-4, 3-8
T4. North Moore, 3-4, 4-7
T4. South Stanly, 3-4, 4-7
7. South Davidson, 1-6, 2-9
8. Chatham Central, 0-7, 0-11

North Stanly will be loaded with lots of talent, including two all-state caliber players. If anyone is able to challenge the Comets, it will be North Rowan and West Montgomery. There is a three-way log jam for fourth place. North Moore will battle Albemarle and South Stanly for the #4 spot. Also, North Moore and South Stanly bring in new head coaches. Former Pinecrest defensive coordinator Antwon Murchison takes over at North Moore, while former Thomasville DC, Ryan Ochier, takes charge of South Stanly. South Davidson and Chatham Central will be fighting to stay out of the conference basement. Chatham Central has lost nine straight games and has not posted a record over .500 since 1978.

North Handled MIC with ease. NS look to sub a ton of guys as the night went along. Piedmont was probably even and I would give North the edge against Parkwood. Most of the time Coaches try to see who will step up in these scrimmages that is the reason for so many subs. North is good
