I think the NCAA has just decided that they can't regulate this so they're just going to give up even trying. I agree with almost everyone else that this is a terrible decision.

i think you are going to see some kids start dropping overzealous programs. some kids are oging to get their feelings hurt if you aren't texting them every night telling them good night and every morning telling them good morning. other kids are going to tell you to back the 17 off if you want to be considered.

yeah, like i said, some are going to get their feelings hurt if you aren't texting them every.single.day. and some are going to want their phone to stop vibrating long enough for them to eat dinner.

tbh, a lot of the recruiting BS has really started to sour me on CFB. on one hand i like seeing who we got coming in and daydreaming about some of these kids in maroon and white. on the other hand, i see **** like sending 105 letters in a single day and the ole miss recruiting parties and what not and that totally turns me off. i'd feel more uncomfortable in those kinda situations than "like a rockstar", and so it's hard for me to identify that a kid thinks it's cool to get 105 letters from saban in 1 day and not see through the ********.

Bingo. There is already unlimited Skyping, Facebook chatting, Twetting, Facetiming, texting, etc. All this does is make it to where the coaches that follow the rules, don't have to worry about it anymore. It won't change much for the kids IMO, except maybe the cell phone bill.

If MSU and other SEC schools went after perfect SATs and ACTs like they do stars, we'd have students better than Harvard and Stanford ....

Brett Favre just applied for the USM women's volleyball coaching position.
