[h=4]ENOUGH[/h]
There comes a point in time when enough is enough. And, Rebel fans, coaches, alumni, and players, we have reached that point.

Enough.

Dan Mullen degrades you with every breath he takes as head coach of Mississippi State University. He uses his position as a pulpit to spew venom about our beloved University, and his crowd loves it. I can think of no greater sign of disrespect than consistently refusing to acknowledge an institution’s given name. His continued belittling of Ole Miss fosters a common goal and feeling amongst State fans:

Beat Ole Miss and Hate Ole Miss.

And, they have. And, they do.

It ends this weekend.

It ends because we want it more.

It ends because our players play for the love of team and his players play for the love of self.

It ends because our coaching staff does not use fear and threats and cussing and embarrassing and belittling as a motivational tool.

It ends for the Seniors.

It ends for a kid that would do anything to be on that field helping it end: DT Shackelford.

It ends for Ferbia Allen.

It ends for Randall Mackey, the epitome of selflessness and teammate.

It ends because Denzel Nkimdeche will not let it continue.

It ends because AJ Hawkins and Mike Marry thought enough of their future school that they took a year off from football, to “gray-shirt,” instead of signing with other schools and playing immediately.

It ends because Senquez Gholson isn’t playing Double-A baseball in Portland, ME.

It ends because Bo Wallace is “all-boy.”

It ends because no one touches Bo Wallace, for 60 minutes, behind the line of scrimmage. Because, if Matt Luke were playing, all 260lbs of him, would be willing us to an Ole Miss win.

It ends because our future is brighter than our past: on and off the field.

It ends because a coach raised in Independence, MS, knows more about this rivalry and has a far greater passion for it than a coach raised in Manchester, NH.

And, when it ends, we will walk of the field. We will not make videos showing the Egg Bowl trophy visiting the Rib Cage in Oxford. We will not come up with a clever nickname for Mississippi State. We will not play in that mud. For, this ending isn't something that’s unusual. This ending will be a beginning again of normalcy.

We will have eaten this awful meal for 1092 days. I will do everything I can to make sure it ends this weekend.

Players, will you?

Coaches, will you?

Rebel fans, will you?

REBEL NATION, WILL YOU?

"It ends because our future is brighter than our past: on and off the field." When has this ever been the case?

Damn .. that's one of those "Pot calling the kettle black" situations. I'm sure each of the players will read that **** and do it because some message board poster wrote it. Freezit puts down DM every chance he and his assistants get a chance but they don't do it as often as their upity fans do.

WTF? I don't even know where to laugh appropriately and mercilessly at this one.

yeah right

He went to USM.

Ole Miss faithful have been doing this every year now. Jeff Scott told the media he'd give his scholarship up if they lost last year. I PROMISE you, they don't want it as bad as we do.

This is our SEC championship. Our national championship. Our be all. Not sure how going to USM vs some New England school makes him understand that more. He's downplayed the rivalry every chance he's gotten, just like all their players.

I, as a bulldog, WILL laugh at this drivel.

I fully expected the next line to read "Coach Freeze WILL vanquish the evil Don Merlins"

It ends...in laughter

So...it ends because AJ Hawkins and Mike Marry make horrible decisions when it comes to their athletic future? It ends because Senquez Gholston also sucks at baseball? It ends because Bo Wallace is "all boy" (I don't get it) with an all-girl haircut?

And how is Bo Wallace going to be behind the line of scrimmage for 60 minutes? At some point, we're getting the ball. I don't care how good they think they are.

didn't the 'epitome of selflessness' get too high to play this game last year???

Yeah, that is what I want my 'leaders' to be...

I'd like to see Banks finally get his chance to play QB or WR when and if we ever get up enough. Folklore and stuff.

Speaking of which...

..I was watching the Dan Mullen Show on TV last night. At the end they started talking about the Egg Bowl. Neither Dan nor Jim would even say "Ole Miss" or "Mississippi" or "The School Up North." Both just refered to UM as "our rivals." It has gotten to where even Jim Ellis refuses to utter their white supremacist moniker. Even the more dignified one. Word to WeWillWinRebel: The respect has left the building. Did a long time ago, in fact. To folks in these parts, uttering any of your antebellum names has officially become an expletive. I suppose after your campus showed its *** via the election riots, even Jim Ellis has had enough.

I could have sworn I heard their radio announcer last week saying that the red stick boys were their rivals. Not that it matters to me. 17uOM.

Man, what will this guy's life be like....

If they lose? But we aren't the real rival. Can you imagine any Reb fan writing this about LSU?

I am really confused. He says there is "no greater sign of disrespect than consistently refusing to acknowledge an institution’s given name", and yet he doesn't call the school University of Mississippi in his entire post?

Well hell. sounds like the locker room speech rough draft got stolen off alvin the chipmunks desk.

Look: I've been watching these games since 1977. OM and State have both lost their fair share of games they should have won, so if we were to lose, I'd be none to pleased, but not nearly as surprised as most. We should win. We have the players to control the game and score with them. They dont have the players to do the same.

This ballgame will come down to who turns turnovers into points. Both teams will turn it over. One will do something about it better than the other.

It's my opinion that we are going to have to back off the line of scrimage with Wallace and allow the 3-4 yard gainer with Scott. We will absolutely have to cover tight on their two best receivers and make them grind this game out between the tackles. Scott will get his yardage, but he isnt an every down between the tackles back for 60 minutes. Wallace is a good qb, but he needs breakdowns in the defense to really hurt them. We are going to have to play assignment football even if it means giving up some chunks of yardage.

What we WILL NOT be successful at is runnin itdown their throats early. Late 3rd quarter, 4th quarter MAYBE. They are excellent at gap integrity and not allowing huge running lanes. Where they do not perform is when a qb has time to pick apart their deep coverage. Run the quick pass short yardage stuff like the 2nd halfof the LSUgame. Then when they spread to cover it, hit them deep or option with Dak.

I'd say if we end up with a hero of this game, it's going to be Dak, late in the game, protecting a lead, by throwing and then controling the clock with killer runs sort of like Relf did in 2009.
