The Rams had 2 possessions in the 2nd half....scored on their first one with the starters and ran out of downs deep in J-M territory the 2nd time.....J-M actually moved the ball a bit in the 2nd half against the backups and took some time off of the already fast moving running clock..........
Only had 2 possessions in 2nd half because of running clock. Scored on first one and got inside red zone and turn over on downs. Scored a td on every possession but 1 for the game.
Hard to pad stats playing half of game with running clock ....

Most of the stat leaders have only played into the second half a few times. I'll be one to say it does concern me going into the playoffs, because of game legs late in games and starters rhythm. With that being said, I think we'll be just fine.
Andrews is coming on strong the second half of the season. They could hurt some teams feelings in the playoffs. The running back had 240 yds last night
Yeah ... some of the teams Reidsville beat in non-conference are playing better ... McMichael beat Williams last night on a last-second field goal 10-7; Andrews won big, Northern Guilford won over Northeast 35-27 and Northwest Guilford put up 45 points but lost to Glen 47-45.
we still haven't established a convincing running game yet. Thats my main concern getting deep into the playoffs. Alone with being in shape if we get into a battle in the 4th qtr.

You guys remind me a lot of us in 2013 when we won the 2AA title. Absolutely blitzing people every week and starters playing limited minutes in 2nd half. I had same concerns about our starters that year not getting into a rhythm and then wondering if we'd be able to turn it on in 2nd half against quality teams and it worked out nicely for us. Stay the course, talent is talent.
Yeah I agree, the passing game is as good as I've seen in a while. The running game is decent, but I feel like it could be much better, not sure what's going on we have 4 good backs.
I went back and looked at the stats. Through 9 games, our defense and special teams have accounted for the following 10 TDs and PATs, 3 Field Goals and 1 Safety. That equals to 15% of our 475 points. It will take a little longer to figure it out, but used Cummings game as a sample and we never started deeper than our own 40. We are also striking in quick scoring drives. The first four drives against Cummings 3,1,3 and 6 plays!
Here something interesting if Reidsville wins the states they will be the first Reidsville team to do it without a 1000 yard rusher.
That's nothing considering we have such a weak schedule. should be close to or over 2000 yrds as a team.
Fact checking
Three of the Reidsville Rams championship teams didn't have 1,000-yard rusher:
1969 championship team leading rusher was Jim Amos with 874 yards
1970 championship team leading rusher was Lee Cobb with 883 yards
2008 championship team leading rusher was E.J. Foster with 789 yards
There were 1,000-yard rushers in these championship seasons:
2002 - Anthony Crews with 1,104 yards
2003 - Antoine Terry with 1,184 yards
2007 - Tayon Graves with all-time Reidsville record 2,173 yards
2009 - E.J. Foster with 1,342 yards

Say what you will about a weak schedule but those of us that know the game of football know that this team is a quality team. If you look at the last couple of years be honest with yourself. Those teams did not have what this team has. Others can say that we did not score against them hell, those of us that know the game did not expect us to. The team we have now can play with any of them and we know this. So let everyone talk and let the games be played. If some of those talkers can man handle this team then my hat will go off to them. No questions at all. If we can stay injury free we will be there in the end against whomever. Let's look at this NW scores 45 against Glenn. This did not happen to us. Andrews is now in 1st place in their conference with a running back that had 260 yds rushing last Friday night. Eastern Guilford is at the top of their conference. We went toe to toe against them in their jamboree. We always knew that when this Sr, Jr and soph class got together it would be special. So let's just keep playing and we will all see what happens. If you win a state championship the trophy will not say *yeah but they had a weak schedule*. The other 18 sure don't have that written on them.

Well that escalated quickly.....so defensive....that tells a lot about how you really feel.
Both would give Reidsville a game, especially Chase. They have athletes on that team. Heck, you guys struggled w/ East Rutherford a couple of seasons ago,

We struggled with East Rutherford last year. But i wouldn't read much into that reidsville was an average team at best and barely won a bad conference last year.
Top receivers on last year's team were on injured reserve during playoffs. Much improved in pass-catching this year.
Also, conference was much better last year. Graham, Cummings and J-M all had several talented seniors.
72 and Lion. If our schedule sucks so bad, and according to your post Reidsville shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as you guys, why do you even worry with us? We're just blowing hot air. Why waste your energy on an "overrated" team? Why do come on a post to point out what you already feel is a foregone conclusion? I might be wrong but I haven't read a single post where Reidsville fans are claiming victory over anyone. I've read tons where we think we can contend with anyone in 2A this season.
