Receiver or back? Slot obviously means receiver, but depending on your playbook an "H" could be a receiver or a back.

What time period lol? Im bored and love playing detective
Definitely at the H-Back. Mom was booster club president or something. The coaches excuse was “he worked hard in weight room”. There were 2 other kids that were way better that could have played that position. There was so many athletes around in other positions that allowed them to get away with it
Literally did both. In our offense I would line up next to qb or in slot or even at the TE position
2004-2007 time frame
In another case Reidsville Coach tried to screw over the transfer RB from GW. He was clearly the better back. But not until the crowd start calling them out during the game did they finally start the kid from Danville after like the 4th game. Reidsville has politics it’s just not half as bad as Rockinghams

Luckily he got a bunch of carries that year. He was the best back on the team clearly.

I believe armchair is mistaken. My mom was not no booster club anything lol. Anyone saying that our rb was not the best rb is clueless to say the least.

He's talking about shyheim watlington from gw danville. At first he was alternating carries.

I think it was earlier than that when he started getting all the carries. Maybe the 2nd or 3rd game.

I said time frame 04-07 watlington was like recent past. It seemed to me it was directed at that time frame. Maybe LA is right. I did happen to work last night

Every year there are people that say "such and such should be playing over this guy he is better". However the "better" player might not be at every practice. Might not practice hard. Might be a new guy and learning a new system takes time. Might not show up much during the summer workout. Might be uncoachable.

Lots of factors. In my experiences, the guys that work hard and show up get the first opportunity at playing time, but things usually work out in the long run.

The H Back I’m speaking of transferred from morehead. And he’s mom was the BC president at the time. Watlington situation was most recent.

What about this year's game? A pair of 2-0 teams. Obviously Reidsville is favorite but Cougars have some excellent players.

Me neither. I really tried to think on it but can’t remember it at all. But during the 04-07 there was no running back better than Tayon Graves. Lucky to play with him my whole time playing football
Any idea what he is doing now?

curious to see how long the Rams can walk the tightrope...lack of depth for most 2A teams are killers....few teams can survive losing the quality of players that Reidsville has this year....Can I state now that I hate 7 on 7.......?

Rams should be healthy soon though. This maybe the last week.

Rock had ball inside 5 early in game with chance to go up but it was all downhill for Cougar JVs after that. Reidsville JV looks to have some excellent skill players and some big linemen.

Used some of those lineman vs page. They are going to be key in the stretch run on varsity

I’m surprised more of rockinghams lineman don’t transfer to Reidsville being that Reidsville is always hurting for lineman. They would definitely play, and it would keep Reidsville main Dline players for having to play Both sides of the ball.

One of Rockinghams lineman was at Reidsville middle school and would've been a key piece along the lines.

I couldn't believe that Reidsville finished 5th place in the conference for all sports performance. 1 West Stokes 2 McMichael 3. Eden Morehead 4. Walkertown 5 Reidsville. I know they dominated in football and basketball

Back in my days at Rockingham, mid to late 80s, Rockingham was very diverse and competitive. Good athletes at all positions. It was also the last time Reidsville lost to RC.

not surprising..Reidsville is pretty woeful in sports other than football and basketball...with the exception of some individuals in wrestling and track...The girls programs overall are pretty anemic...................
