Reidsville vs Carrboro

Just curious why Carrboro would not play. I see a forfeit on the schedule and no JV. What is going on at Carrboro?
I understand Orange County schools redistricted and decimated the football program...majority of kids that would've played there a couple of years ago are now at Chapel Hill HS.........
Just think...3 years ago this program knocked Reidsville out of the state playoffs in the 3rd round and played for a state title a couple of weeks later..
now they are 0-10............talk about a program that crashed...................................

Wow. Shows how quick a traditionallly good program can be changed rapidly. Bandys and Newton has hit all time lows. Newton is now 5-5 and Bandys was 0-8 and now 2-8. Both played Reidsville recently in state title games.
Redistricting cummings area didn't benefit anyone , graham, and Williams are terrible. Western Alamance is still decent but not as good as they were.
Carborro notified Reidsville yesterday that they will be forfeiting the game..Reidsville moves to 8-3 with undefeated conference championship and hopeful a # 2 seed or higher
Tough year for Carrboro football.
If Shelby is 2A (which seems likely), they will be the #1 seed in the West with an undefeated record for seeding purposes. In order for Reidsville to be seeded at least #2 then Hendersonville needs to win at Polk County and Lexington needs to beat Thomasville. Both Hendersonville and Lexington should be slight favorites.
If Hendersonville loses, then Mountain Heritage wins that conference and will be the #2 seed in 2A West. If Thomasville wins, they will draw with Reidsville for the #2 or #3 seed (if Hendersonville wins) or the #3 or #4 seed (if Hendersonville loses)
If both Hendersonville and Lexington lose, then Reidsville will be the #3 or #4 seed.
Of course, in the unlikely event that Shelby is 2AA, then Reidsville, Thomasville, and Mountain Heritage will move up in the seedings.

Reidsville will not be East................tough row to hoe in that small 2A west bracket..some real quality teams........Reidsville at best would probably be #3 seed in that bracket...............Got to play your best now or go home early and wait till next year.........................
I believe the Hill kid could be the X factor if they give him a chance, He's been playing receiver all his life. Can't do any worse than anyone else

Several sophomores could help at wr ..hill is #14 also have Mendoza #42 and Townsend #31
Galloway also got moved up today. Another 10 grade wr that has had a great season on jv. Maybe he will get a chance to catch one.
Shelby will be 10-0 only if we beat Crest . Otherwise , if we lose we will go in as 9-1 , correct ? Shelby is 10-0 now and will be playing Crest for the conference crown .
Split conference. Makes no difference whether Shelby wins or loses, they will be the #1 seed.
I'm guessing the Rams will have a scrimmage Friday. Hoping some of these young receivers make enough impression that they get a shot at some playing time first playoff game. Who knows, a star could be born.
Reidsville middle wins at Dillard today 24-8. This gives coach chestnut and his crew 11 championships in 14 years.
I'm assuming the game was at Carrboro? Otherwise Inwould expect a check. Roster shows enough kids at Carrboro to play but half the team are freshman. Maybe some of those junior and seniors didn't finish the season. Good luck to Carrboro in the future.
Was told today that only 6 players showed up for practice this week at Carrboro. That's right, 6 showed up for practice.
freshdl3...did you notice last friday nite at B-Y that the announcer kept saying that their middle school team (Dillard) had won the conf championship...What was up with that if the Reidsville middle school game had not even been played until this week and Reidsville won the game???
We were tied for first place. So it was a co championship. Yesterday should have been an all or nothing but it was considered a non-conference game. We wanted it to be all or nothing but they refused. We finished 6-1, they finished 5-2. Their second loss was considered non-conference so they were satisfied to just have a co.
