This game is intriguing. We are playing very well. Defense is stifling. Offense is playing well. Reynolds has played well. Thoughts?

And we were there.the last time Reidsville and Reynolds played was in the mid 1970's and the game then was played at Bowman Gray Stadium.............
1973 and 1974 the last time the two schools playedthe last time Reidsville and Reynolds played was in the mid 1970's and the game then was played at Bowman Gray Stadium.............
I second Dario's.Deaton-Thompson Stadium is a really nice stadium. I don't care how many folks from Reidsville come, they will not fill up the visitor side. Both sides are the same size, and there is plenty of space available. D-T Stadium is kind of like a smaller version of High Point's Simeon Stadium. The stadium is located on Clemmonsville Road, and there is several places to eat right at the stadium.

Dario's (cheeseburgers/hotdogs/fries) highly recommended.

someone say bbq?Every chance I get to visit Bibs BBQ, it is well worth it. I'll try to leave in plenty of time to make it.
It is right near 4th street in downtown Winston-Salem. The area is fine and plenty of parking. I would personally go eat at Dario which is 2 minutes from Deaton-Thompson Stadium. It is a great place, that has expanded to several other locations over the years. One near West Forsyth in Clemmons, and another in Kernersville near East Forsyth, Glenn, and Bishop McGuiness. Deaton-Thompson is a shared facility between Parkland and Reynolds as neither has an on campus facility currently. It is a large facility. 5 minutes from Parkland, but a little further for Reynolds. I would say 15 minutes or so. Reynolds has been trying to raise funds to build an on campus facility, but I have not heard any updates on it in over a year.Where is Bibs?
I am very familiar with Dario's. Would love to get them to open a location in Reidsville. It is right near 4th street in downtown Winston-Salem. The area is fine and plenty of parking. They might be the next Cookout! I am remember when Cookout was just starting out. Now it is booming. It is a shame all locations are corporate owned. Great franchise opportunity in decent size college towns.I am very familiar with Dario's. Would love to get them to open a location in Reidsville.
I seem to recall seeing that they were selling franchises a year or so ago. We'd like to have one in Thomasville too.I am very familiar with Dario's. Would love to get them to open a location in Reidsville.
If you come to the game, you may be shocked at the size, speed, and athletes Reidsville puts on the field. Offense, defense, special teams. No weaknesses anywhere. The 4A Demons had better be ready to play or they just might get embarrassed by little 2A Reidsville.Good luck to both teams. I may want to see this one seeing as how my guys are off...
We played RJR in conference the last 15 years before moving down. RJR is very fast every year, good skill players. They are much improved this year, the coaches seem to be making good strides. I would still favor Reidsville, but don't take them lightly because RJR has lots of potential.
Deaton Thompson is a very good stadium, plenty of room to move around and watch the game or socialize. Parkland and Reynolds share it, but it's much closer to Parkland and there's a thing going around for Reynolds called BRING THE STADIUM HOME. I can't really blame them, but they need to be able to put butts in the seats and they don't often bring a good crowd...
Reidsville fans, looking forward to seeing your team as I never have. I would have loved to have seen you guys play Thomasville back in the day, but alas I was but a lad and my father had certain... issues... Again, good luck and safe travels to all.
FWIW, Simmons will probably have Reidsville favored by about 4 TDs.Like I said, I favor Reidsville. RJR has been off for almost a decade, just now showing signs of life lol
Rjr varsity player overheard saying "who is reidsville?" After rjr cut lead to 13-6. Reidsville won jv game 26-6. He will see reidsville up close and personal Friday night!I say Reidsville 28 Reynolds 14.
If you want true Lexington style BBQ, go to Mr. Barbecue on Peters Creek Parkway off business 40. Approximately 3 miles from stadium.Every chance I get to visit Bibs BBQ, it is well worth it. I'll try to leave in plenty of time to make it.

Most kids/teens in the part of Winston don't know anything about Reidsville. They have never came across Reidsville in no form of sports on any level. To them we're just a little ole 2A program on their schedule. I love it when they think that and watch their facial expressions after the game. I think the parents take it harder than the kids and I love it.I will venture to say that any 16 year old kid in WSFCS knows anything about Reidsville. Don't mean that as disrespect to Reidsville. This game shouldn't be close.
