Remember this. The last 3 times y’all beat us we weren’t relevant compared to our better teams. So can’t be beating your chest beating teams that are down.

My intent was to take the high road, and congratulate y’all on the heckuva run y’all had, 5 straight championship appearances, three titles won in a row. But, y’all talked too much trash of the years, and had y’all won, you’d be in here being totally disrespectful, and swearing up and down y’all would have beaten us over the years, had we played, despite what the computer whatever projected over the years. If it doesn’t favor Reidsville, y’all ingnore it. Yet, you guys are the main ones talking that computer crap all the time. Shelby’s convincing victory over the Rams tonight was huge on so many levels.

Trust me , rams fans hate me often because I’m a realist. But it is true Shelby has dodged some better rams teams in recent years by losing before we could meet. Y’all have the better team now. And looks to me y’all have way more talent to choose from based on your school

Well I’ll say so far Reidsville has the better PA announcer. He messes up a lot but is exciting to say the least haha

Our PA announcers have always been neutral. That's how they're supposed to be. It's called being classy.

Al Lee will become a power 5 caliber quarterback, and Flippen commands so much attention, due to his big time speed. I liked Shyheim, too. Although, he’s a senior. He gave it his all. I wish Cam Peoples a sincere, speedy recovery.

Rams have no OLine. Said it all year long. Plus we have an oline out tonight. Enough said. We had chances and blew all but 1. Shelby not too impressive only winning by 15 to this point.

Chances, other than 2 plays all night you had negative yardage. Reidsville has a very good ball team and were a very classy bunch I saw players from both teams patting each other on the helment. Shelby was an animal Reidsville wasn't ready for. It was a physical domination period.

Congratulations to Shelby. The D line was really good. I thought Defensively Reidsville did pretty good. Offense couldn't get into a rhythm, so it left D defending a short field. Thought we went away from the run game too quick. I've said all year the O Line would be our biggest hurdle to overcome. Especially with Widerman hurt tonight.
The head linesman was overwhelmed at times. His calls or lack there of came at some points where it could have changed momentum. Congratulations to Shelby. Good luck with the rest of season.

just got home at 12:35AM.....congrats to Shelby...your front four dominated our line....which has overacheived at times this year....Reidsville D...did not play that bad...the offense was as ineffective as I have seen in many a year by the Rams....credit to Shelby players and staff.....Think the Rams will be in the mix again next year...we have a good nucleus back and some very talented kids in the wings....................btw..great facilities except for visitors bathroom...lol.....of course we have no room to talk.....................

The only time we lost since 2013 was 2017 in semi's to a great and eventual state championship Hibriten and last spring. So you don't even know what you are talking about. Two of those years we beat what y'all thought were great Reidsville teams at the time and going to kill Shelby just like you thought that this year. Y'all need to stay in the east we play physical football down here in the west. I mean you can beat the Chase from time to time but that ain't Shelby either. If you don't believe it ask your players.

The debate is over. Tonight’s dominating victory by the Golden Lions settles it.
And Reidsville STILL has not won a unified state title. NONE.
Reidsville never won or appeared in a title game before the two rival associations existed.
Shelby did.
Reidsville never won or appeared in non subdivided classification title game from 1977 to 2001. Shelby did. 3 Titles, 5 appearances.
And now with one title in play for 2A in 2021, they are no-shows again.
Why does it matter?
Because Reidsville claims to be something it is not.
The paths to all of their State titles has always been at the avoidance of many of the better programs in the state.
Shelby has won 6 of the last 8 titles. Twice beating Reidsville convincingly along the way in 13 and 14. In 15, Shelby crushed Kinston, who had beaten Reidsville. In 16, Reidsville won 2A while never facing Shelby, who won 2AA AND NEVER TRAILED ALL SEASON. Reidsville would have never gotten there.
In 17, both programs lost to the eventual champs.
In 18 and 19, Shelby dominates in the 2AA Title games, while Reidsville escapes Shelby again on the way to titles in 2A.
So three titles for Reidsville thanks to subdivisions.
2020/21 covid year was odd, with top talent leaving early, some not, spring season, and some weird scheduling and questionable subjective seeding.
After tonight, it is no reach to claim that had Reidsville had to face Shelby in 16,18, and 19, Reidsville would have 3 less titles. That would be 19.
Shelby has 18, and is still playing.
The day will come soon when Shelby officially matches Reidsville in Total Championship Titles.
If Reidsville had not ducked Shelby since 1930…..it would have already happened.
We have proven to have the stronger program now, on the field, again.

I give it to Shelby, they were DEFINITELY the better team tonight but you cannot tell me Reidsville did not deserve the 1 seed this year. Undefeated and defending state champs..Shelby with 1 loss and another close game versus a pretty good team in burns. Wish Reidsville would have been able to play Eastern Alamance. Would have given them a better test before the 3rd round of the playoffs when they let Hendersonville cut it to a 1 point game after being up 29 to 0. Even with or without playing Eastern Alamance reidsville should have been the 1 seed unless they lost to EA. Seems like the way the system is set up if Reidsville would have played EA and lost they would have gotten a higher seed regardless of winning or losing. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Lee pretty much hung his head after he realized his line wasn't going to be able to protect him tonight. Reidsville should have tried copying some of these pro teams this year having peoples or flippen run the ball.

Congrats to Shelby, the better of the two won this year. The Shelby defense was as claimed. I just don't understand the play calling for Reidsville. Everyone knew Shelby would be rushing hard after the QB all night so I'm not sure why the coaches thought he would be able to sit in the pocket all night and be able to wait to throw deep passes, they just set him up for failure pretty much. Trying the same thing over and over is just insanity. The play of the game was the int to start the second half, killed any confidence the QB had left. The Shelby offense was less than I expected. If Shelby wins it all this year it will be because of the defense. The QB was a good passer but not so much with any amount of pressure on him. The running game prevailed in the end simply because we were gassed on defense from being on the field all night. We'll be back next year to try again.

Some of their posters are classy, definitely not “most. Had they won, you would have seen how “classy” most of them really are. Some of them wouldn’t have even slept last night. They would have been on here all night, talking trash. I get what you’re saying, though, and my initial approach was going to be similar to yours. But, those guys talked too much trash over the years, which was easy to do being in another division and all.

… and yes, they’re young, but so is Shelby. Sophomore receiver Izay Bridges, sophomore nose guard and D1 prospect, Jaiden Pierce, this young man is a straight up “dawg”, sophomore speedster, Kamari Houze, who didn’t even play. Bricen Kee, the sophomore runningback, sophomore safety, Cam Anderson, sophomore corner, McGill. Shelby will be hell, too. That’s just the sophomores who are starters or contributes a lot.

All this talk about Flippen, the Rams sophomore receiver, and he’s certainly deserving of his praise. But, opposing teams better recognize, and get to know Shelby sophomore receiver, Izay Bridges. He’s just as good as any sophomore receiver in the state.
