The statistics you quote maybe true, but your logic is screwed! You can't apply them to the counter arguments that
other posters have put forward. I.E., lack of D1 talent numbers, losing 4 games to 6 of the top teams in the state.
By ignoring the validity of those points, you are implying that Richmond Co. should have won those 4 games and
that better coaching would have overcome superior talent and equally as good of coaching. So, how do you justify
such logic? "Everything I said was true." ??????????????????
Coach you know you can talk yourself into anything if you say it enough times. Nothing you can say can convince them they are wrong. I bet the majority of these folks have never coached or played any sport at a competitive level. RC talent across the board is nowhere near that of the teams they lost to. SC has (2) D1 offensive tackle prospects and you know why one is 6'6 270 and the other is 6'4" and 270. They are both very athletic for their size and nasty. RC lineman don't come close. We want even talk about the SC inside linebackers and running backs. Dudley has 4 or more d1 prospects on their team, Butler probably has 4 and Garner has 4. That's Coach C's fault? Next he will have to produce offspring that are 6ft 4 or (2) 215 lb running backs. All of them would be prospects even if they played for Waffle House High!

If other teams fans are defending your coach that means they are beating you and want to keep beating you.

I guess Scotland coaches aren't doing anything to help develop those OL. Nice to know they don't need coaching. Of course when Scotland loses they needed it. Pot meet the kettle.

You can't teach size, speed and toughness - if you know anything about football you would know that. Zamir White and Smiley Mcqueen don't need a lot of coaching it's about the Jimmies and Joe's not the X's and O's. RC has some Jimmies just not any Joe's!

We can t ignore that the Raiders are scoring less with this wide open pass-happy offense. We also can't ignore that Ziegler was supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread according to some years ago. As you said he was too inconsistent, but that can be blamed on coaching. We figured out his QB coach was more concerned with posting on here instead of preparing him. We also learned his coach would show up late to practices if he came at all. Many of these things can & should be laid at the coaches feet.

According to whom regarding Ziegler? No scouting service or college coach ever said that. That was just some local yocal screaming that noise. Ziegler has talent but he is a long way from a d1 qb. I think some of you all believe D1 talent is a dime a dozen. If you do then you have no clue!

You don't need Div I talent to win football games or to compete for state titles. That's just a cop out excuse.

Butler has ZERO Div I recruits this year. Not a single one. And the only one they had last year was a commitment to Charlotte (B. LeMay), which is scraping the bottom of the Div I barrel.

Anyone ever wonder how many Div I recruits Catholic averages cranking out every year? Hold one finger up and round down.

Quit making excuses, coach 'em up and go play ball.

So the qb is not? No one in their soph and junior classes?

And you said Butler had 4 D1 prospects, but the guy that watches them play weekly says they have ZERO. You were saying about not having a clue?

Coach em up! I agree hokie.

And if they don't i was wrong but you can better believe the other schools do. He said this year he didn't say on the roster. Scotland doesn't have any this year as well but they have 4 to 7 on the roster and they are all juniors and sophs.

Butler has a heavy rotation of Seniors this year, so if there are future offers for the roster, they won't be for significant contributors to this year's team. This year's Juniors and Seniors have zero Div I offers that I'm aware of. There are tons of Div II offers, though, so it's not like Butler is totally playing with scrubs, but it not a field full of BCS talent like Butler teams had 10 years ago.

For JMAC: QB Cheek committed to Elon early last year. It was a surprise to us that he committed so early, but he never waivered from it. There's some personal reason there, I'm sure, that we don't know about.

Hokie thanks but you know and I know there are thousands of kids that are d1 recruits that don't get their because of grades or other reasons. SC had a kid 3 years ago that was one of the most talented corners in the state (had the measurable numbers and he had to go the JUCO route).

I totally agree with that.

My initial post was in response to several people earlier in the thread that said that Richmond could not win titles these days because they no longer have Div I talent like what they used to have.

For those people, I invite each and every one of you to come watch a Butler or Catholic football game sometime. Our non-Div-I-talented teams get along just fine, thank you very much.

I know I personally watched Richmond's offense full of gazelles run circles around the Butler secondary for an entire half earlier this year. All their receivers are big and they can all really run, so no one here can tell me that Richmond doesn't have enough talent to win games. What they put on the field looked pretty damn good to me.

There are several kids on the Butler team that are starting to get some attention and have some D2 offers. Grades may be a problem but there are a couple that would project specifically K Cureton and I think maybe McGill as well. Chritian Dixon is the best defensive player in Charlotte and if he was 2 inches taller he would be a BCS level player. Charleston Southern and ELon are getting steals with Cheek and Dixon.

I thought I would stay away from posting but after reading some of these post I can't refrain any longer and then I'm through with this. I keep seeing the same ones posting about the role model and the DUI from a year ago. I do believe that a coach should be a role model so lets get that out of the way. One question I want to know is that if the same ones that keep bringing up the role model thing believe that their teachers, or parents should be role models? I for one do think so. I know that I have seen numerous times postings on social media of some of the holier than thou in Richmond County consuming the adult beverages that are the teachers and parents of these same players, so there goes the double standard when you are not part of the good ole boy club. And by the way, I won the bet that when we lost Friday that who would be the ones on here calling for Coach C head. Steak dinner is going to be so good. And by the way, I have yet to see any glass houses in Richmond County.
