Heck gotta get through Millbrook first and Roundtree. Trust me he will be a hand full and Richmond should be hyped to avenge that loss a couple of years ago
You guys should feel good about your draw. You would've beat Millbrook by 30 if your backs could've held on to the ball a few years ago. And this group of Wildcats is NOWHERE near as good as that group was.
Only applies when you have 2 teams tied...Three teams were tied at 8-2...so they had to pass on head to head , because those 3 did not play each other....They had to go to overall record....pinecrest was 9-2.....the next 2 were 8-3, and Richmond was higher ranked in the poll that counts.....The third team was Fuquay-Varina.....nuff said...
RC if you take your offense against Butler with the D you played against SC you could rep the east. If you don't you will be home second round. Put it together and use all that talent and speed my Lord go back to running some of the option. The zone read is great but it doesn't play to your strength which is speed.
That's what I've been saying for two years. If they put 4 quarters together on both sides of the ball, there's no reason they can't win the east...one thing for sure, if the offe se plays like they did 2 weeks ago and they're done... They do have a much better team. I believe in Zeigler, and it's so unfair what's happened to his high school career.He still has a chance to play to a higher potential if some of his teammates will step up. Defense is clicking... jmo... GO RAIDERS...

If I was a Richmond fan witch I do pull for them in the playoff , i would band Benn- Bald from being a Raider fan , Raider Fans are tuff and know how to roll with the punches.

I read this forum often and don't comment a lot. What I have noticed is that there seems to be quite a few posters that enjoy blathering on about utter nonsense. I personally don't care for it and have just about stopped reading the forums due to that.
Regarding Richmond - the talent just isn't there across the board. Let me say a late congratulations to the Scots on the victory again this year. I actually thought that this year was the first year in ages that we really would lose. Size, you just can't coach that. During Richmond's championship runs you can look back and see that most all of those teams possessed SIZE along the OL and DL, and at certain key positions different years, LB, SS, WR etc.. I don't really know what the deal is but we just can't seem to bring out athletic 6 ft 2 plus guys that have some size and want to play OL and DL. I do see that we have a few but in our key games the last 5 or so years we have been out sized in the trenches and that usually has played a very big factor in the L. Note I didn't say the only factor but a big one.
Speed kills - as far back as I can remember we've had RB's with speed to burn, get them in space and it's usually lights out. In the last 20 years though we've not had a lot of RB's that were grinders. I am definitely not complaining about the RB position because it's kinda been the one constant for 20 years or so - ball security issues at times have been suspect but I guess that's par for the course with smaller backs - one good hit and it can come out.
WR - We've never been big on producing amazing WR talent - the best group overall probably was the 2008 team as far as hands are concerned and they really got better from about the 7th to 8th game of the season on. Again, size is an issue - how many 6ft 1 and up WR does Richmond have that see the field? The Steve Smith type is great and whatnot but you will be hard-pressed to see dynamic passing teams where the WR height goes about 5ft 10 down to 5ft 8.
Anyway, I have loved and supported the Raiders for as long as I can remember and always will. Can we regain the dominance we once had, sure. Have we had a good season - yes. You play the games that are scheduled and we have 3 losses to 3 teams currently in the AP top 5 - how many teams in NC wouldn't have gone 0-3 in those 3 games - not many. Good luck to the Raiders in the playoffs and to the rest of the conference as well.

It's a good thing we can score on Defense & Sp. Teams b/c this Offense is atrocious. Of course, the only people that know that are the 75 fans sitting in the stands right now. This is pathetic!!!
Stop the presses, we scored on something other than an Int Return. Raiders now actually lead 14-7 in 3rd.
No thanks to you Doc since you coach Offense. Maybe if you spent more time coaching instead of posting on here during the game, we might not have to depend on the Defense so much.
