I said I don't have a problem with him saying it. The SEC will probably see it differently and make him issue a statement. That would be about all I see coming out of it. If I were Ray, I would have the image of Henderson throwing the double birds in the back ground and make a statement about a time when players respected coaches and he allowed his emotions to get the better of him while this foul mouthed troubled kid was trash talking.

So let's get

this straight. It's understandable if players do it, but reprehensible for coaches? So what does it say about coaches that encourage, over and over, this (and promote) this attitude? I'd say they're in the same boat as coaches that display it, if you believe what you do. Youre so full of ********.

It's not that big of a deal

Ray shouldn't get suspended or even issue a statement. It'll be forgotten in a day or two. If a thug is acting thuggish, a guy that is supposed to be an example to 18 - 23 year old young men shouldn't stoop to the thug's level. When you make half a million dollars a year I think it's reasonable to ask the coach to not say f*** you to an opposing player no matter that player's character. He stooped to Marshall's level and that should never happen. Again, it's not that big of a deal but it's unprofessional and beneath his position as a head basketball coach at the collegiate level.

While generally I agree that coaches shouldn't cuss at players, saying F you is hardly stooping to Henderson's level. Henderson's level is relentless un-sportmanlike taunting of other schools' players, fans, and coaches. It's jersey popping and double bird shooting. Henderson is in a special low-low-low class of his own.

As much as Ole Miss likes to regard itself as cultured and well-mannered, the hypocrisy of your whole institution backing this guys is so much more hypocritical than Ray dropping the F-bomb.

I don't know if "bad ***" is the right term, but I wouldn't have thought it...

If the roles were reversed and Renardo Sidney had said something like that and Kennedy responded that way you'd think he was badass so STFU.
was that big of a deal, and I don't think Ray's response was that big of a deal either. Not something you want to see on a regular basis from your coach though. Its more funny than anything else.

Up by 20 w 6 freaking seconds to go when Henderson was taken out too

So not only did AK leave starters in til the end, crack head had to turrets off the court close to RR and run his mouth. Saying 17 you seems appropriate to me.

We were down 20. I think we were past the point of being rattled.

Who said it was okay for the players

Ray never appeared to lose control of his emotions. He simply said "17 you" (it appears that way).

I wouldn't say he stooped to White Girl Wednesday's level at all. Should he have even said "17 you"? Probably not, but if I'm his boss, I say good job but don't make it a habit.

So it's perfectly fine for a coach

Did those reading comprehension skills get you through college?

The best anyone who can read could probably come up with would be "So you think it's okay for a coach to tell Marshall Henderson in particular to F off?" and even that would probably gloss over the first line a little too much.

hes his own man. he can do whatever the 17 he wants without our consent. hes gotta deal with the consequences, but considering he didnt cross any line, hes got nothing to apologize for.

I'm sorry, but I can't seem to remember.

You're going to have to link where you degraded Freeze for acting out of line towards a fan at a game. I cannot seem to recall your objectivity on the subject.

The best part of this video is watching the OleMiss fans look on as Henderson puts on his show...especially the old ones. It's like watching a bunch of Baptists' faces when someone in the music group brings in an electric guitar.

I also want to go on record saying "I love Marshall Henderson." He is the best thing for Mississippi State fans in a long time. It's like knowing somebody that pee'd their pants one time, and always being able to bring that up in any argument with that person. From now on, anytime the "class" argument comes up from an OleMiss fan, we can remind them about that one time they had Marshall Henderson. And most of the diehard Rebels I talked to last night know he is bad for the program in the long run. And they're already apologizing for it and trying to backpedal. Bringing up Henderson to a Rebel fan is like asking a Southern Miss alum where they went to school - there's always an answer followed by a "but."

You serious Clark?

Freeze getting into it with a fan was dumb and embarassing. Coaches should never get into pissing matches with fans in person or on social media. I'm talking to you Chris Kiffen.

I can't believe this has turned into a half-page thread. Pretty funny to see how bent out of shape some Rebels are about our coach's "inappropriate" behavior considering the multitude of incidents their coach and their star player have been involved it.

I don't see what the big deal is

C'mon dawgstudent, if it was hearsay and not caught on camera he'd be in the clear. I love what Rick is doing as much as the next guy but that's inexcusable to be caught on camera doing that. We all know Marshall does that stuff all the time, can't stoop to his level

Ray was simply letter Henderson know that he thinks he is a "faker".

What do you think about Freeze's goons going after our players every time they get tackled or pushed into the OM sideline. Has happened in the last two Egg Bowl's. He has GA's and assistants roughing our players up.

I think Mario Austin was paid a mil a year, grossed up for taxes in Russia. But marshal Henderson doesn't bring that much to the table for most European teams to shell out for. White dudes with quick releases and mediocre defense are a dime a dozen. I think for the leagues that would pay good money, all the teams would be too good to be able to stomach his off nights.

Its all irrelevant though bc he's not going to stay out of trouble long enough to determine if he's good enough to get rich in Europe.

If you would take off the blinders for a moment and think objectively, you would probably have a different opinion.

No, he is not a helluva basketball player, he has a good shot when he is on, and he works hard to get open. Of course when I think of a helluva basketball player I think of Jordan, Kareem, Bird, Magic, Wade, James, etc. and Henderson does not come close to any of them.

So in your world, you have to be NBA HOF caliber before you're any good. The college game must be like watching paint dry to you.

He must be smart enough not to get caught on camera. Ray hasn't figured that out yet.

When you curse out an opposing player after getting your *** beat by 20, cover your mouth when you drop an F Bomb. Its only common courtesy.

Can't quite make out what Freeze is saying to Whitley ....

any ideas?
