Here is the story. During the baseball game Saturday #19 a relief pitcher we called mini me thought it would be cool to run out to the right field field fence and jump into it during one of the mid-inning stretch breaks that both teams take. Me and the rest of the right field tailgaters were not paying attention when he did it and didn't notice a player came out there until he jumped into the fence and ran back back to his teammates to stretch. We immediately regretted not being prepared for that and said if he did it again on Sunday,we would be.
So Sunday rolls around and these guys are cocky and mouthy as ****. Of all the teams we have played in the last years since I've been going out there, these asshats were the worst. We spotted him in pregame warmups and told him if he came back out to the warning track again, he would be met with resistance in the form of cold beverages. He yelled something back that we couldn't hear but it was obvious he heard us.
He decided to test his luck during the third or fourth inning and ran out and a few of us gave him a nice shower since it was hot outside. He ran back laughing and looked to be enjoying himself.
The next inning number 30. A volunteer assistant ******* named larry day (who by the way was mr irrelevant in the 2007 mlb draft, so you know he has a chip on his shoulder) came out to yell at us. He said some **** like you guys are punks, 17 you, etc... We of course gave it back to him but I was pretty shocked at how cocky those vandy ***** were. Little yazstremski would yell back at us and guys coming into the bullpen would talk ****.
So were we bad fans or did those smart kid vandy bitches deserve it?
Personally, after going to the vandy series last year and dealing with fans and their cocky players this year, I'm 100% backing it.
What you got pack?
