I don’t know if it will be enough but I expect Rolesville to come to play. No way they want to go 0-2. Backs against the wall.

I love East Forsyth’s stable of RB’s and it looks like they’ve found a talented dual threat QB. A Really talented bunch on both sides of the ball just like Coach Willert generates every year.

Is the running back from walkertown in the rotation?

Rolesville had a special year last year and returned a lot of pieces but it’s still hard to be very good back to back. You just don’t know how some of the Jr and Sr who haven’t played much will adjust and how well they will play. Rolesville has played two very good teams and most schools would be 0-2.

People forget that East had a down year because 11 Starters went to College early. Since 2008 this team was knocking on the door of being great. Since 2017 this team has been as good as you can be. It's fair to say that if East returned all those players in the Spring they had a legit shot at a 3peat. Now that they have a full senior class and a couple new pieces they are as dangerous as any team in the Top 5 in all of 4A. I really think Rolesville can still have one heck of a year in the East 4A. I just think East Forsyth is on another level. The CPC is going to be really interesting this fall.

Them eastern Forsyth county boys are built different. Same communities that produced the great Carver teams from the 90s and early 2000s.😎

Man, what happened to Carver? They just fell off a cliff in football.

Atkins, and Walkertown were built. All the good teachers I had transferred to Atkins and all of Walkertown goes to Walkertown high school.

Everyone else might go to Reagan, EF, Glenn, and Tabor with open enrollment. Everybody in Forsyth county knows someone or have family in each school.😁

That's the old Atkins. The new "Simon G. Atkins Academic & Technology High School" was built in 2005. The one you're talking about is now Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy and has been for quite some time.
Thanks for the info, Forsyth Co..
P.S. What ever happened to Winston Salem Paisley and Winston Salem Gray ?

Gray is way before my time lol. But Paisley is still around. It's a magnet school. Highest the grade go is 9 or 10th grade I believe.

Gray High School's main building still exists. It resides on what became the campus of UNC-School of the Arts. The building is primarily used for the core courses for UNC-SA's high schoolers. It looks very much the same from the outside. I'd love to go inside and look around someday.

Hanes High School's buildings still exist as well. The building has been vacant for a few years due to discovery of contaminated ground water in the area. Prior to that it was operating as Hanes-Lowrance Middle School and also may have housed an elementary school as well.

Paisley operates as a 6th-10th magnet school. International Baccalaureate. After that, I believe those students continue with 11th and 12th grade at Parkland, but I could be wrong about that. Things change faster than I can keep up with them sometimes.

Paisley opened a brand new school last fall. Old building torn down. Now called Paisley/Lowrance. 2 schools in one. You are correct on Paisley corriculum.
