With the release of Whitman almost 2 years ago are the Rosman faithful pleased with the direction the program has taken ? Are you getting better ? Have the numbers increased or decreased. If someone could please give us an update on the status of Tiger nation. Thanks in advance.

If I'm not mistaken,I think they have now lost 10 or 11 straight .The Tigers don't deserve that..I don't think they will admit it but I bet they are thinking they have gotten the wrong man for the job.
I would think Rosman most resembles Robbinsville as fas as numbers go. I know the Tiger faithful are passionate about their football, I personally don't see how they could be happy right now. I may be wrong would love for the tigers to chime in. Not asked you to throw anybody under a bus , just a few fans honest opinions.
We love Coach Stack. Offense is not the problem. It's our defense. Jv program is down in numbers. Just not a lot of kids.
Offense drove on mt heritage all night. Had 2 fumbles in red zone and penalties that took us out of first down situations. But we still believe in our team. No need to throw anybody under the bus.

Losing your Mike backer and your best O-lineman will put any school, let alone a 1a school behind the 8-ball. From what I’ve seen it’s not X’s and O’s that is to blame for these loses. Other than Madison they’ve been out athleted all over the field. If, the kids were given up I’d be concerned but, I’ve seen no evidence of that.
Can't ever remember a Rosman team giving up. Usually tough hard nosed kids. Rosman can't seem to dodge the injury bug and w no depth it kills you.
Not sure why so much value is placed on finishing in the top 3 ? Second and third place are just the first two not to win the conference title. It's got bearing on playoff games home or away but the term big 3 sounds a little arrogant to me. Just my opinion
Like saying we only lost by 1 point. Lol. A loss is a loss Runner up or 3rd is no different. Back in the day the Conference Champion was the only team to go on to the playoffs
Best coach I've ever worked with. You'll never out work him, he knows both sides of the ball, his strength and conditioning is next level. It's year two, I understand the natives are getting restless and that's part of the job but Rome wasn't built in a day.
did coach stack play in a 1A program in high school or is this his first taste of 1A.
how many of the previous staff did he keep ? I've never met him but you have to respect him for the challenge he accepted . Stepped in to a storied but struggling program and to one of the toughest conferences in the state. Hard to wish someone like that anything but the best except when playing my Knights.
Tyrea was fast in school!!! Surprised me to see over there and Kenneth dockery in hayesville!!! Believe 1 of tha only 1s faster then him in school durin our time was Kyle Garland from tha ville!!! Both really cool fellers!! Tigers do unz loose kids to surroundin schools like we do to bryson and smokey!??
Tyrea was a burner for sure. Hes over there because he married a girl from Rosman. Kenneth teaches and coaches at Hayesville but still lives in Murphy.

Yes it does, most of them have been good players . The last one was the shook kid that became a heck of a linebacker for brevard
Mr Rice sure was a heck of a wrestler (at Brevard) the team he was on in the early to mid 80's was as dominant as any team ever. I may be telling my age a little.
I love to hear from TigertownRick on the state of the tigers . Always the best reads on here. Very knowledgeable, honest and usually on point. Like I said earlier I'm new to actually posting on the site but read posts from time to time and he's nothing but a class act.
Thanks bigoakbuddy and others for the kind words....I think that Coach Stack is doing the best that he can with the program, and injuries are always going to be a problem with small schools like Rosman.....
Someone ask me at the Tigers last Home game what I thought about the team, and I told them that it had shades of Brian Bailey's 3 years as head coach, but the difference being that Coach Stack seems to take more pride in the program, and has done an incredible amount of work outside the program to make the field and the facilities look the best that maybe they ever have, and the Tiger players and fans should take "PRIDE" in that....
With the exception of Coach Bailey and Stack, Rosman has always been a smashmouth team that controlled the clock, and was physical on defense, and that worked when Coach Fox returned for his second stint....However, SMC teams figured out how to play against the Wishbone and Tigerbone, but it was still tough to contain if the Tigers had the right personnel in the backfield to run that offense...The practices were also very physical in nature which helped prepare the team for the physical style of play that they would see in the SMC....
As I stated last year, the defense was terrible, and I was expecting to see a better result from that side of the ball this year, but it just hasn't happened, and I know losing our starting LBer has had a major impact, but I'm just not seeing the physical style of play on that side of the ball yet, and that is concerning as SMC play is just around the corner.....
Fans have been patient and very supportive of the team in spite of the current 10 game losing streak because they know that Coach Stack is doing his best to turn things around, but I'm also hearing the word consolidation from people that I thought I would never hear that word....Maybe it has something to do with the upcoming vote on the 62 million dollar upgrade to the County Schools that will be on the ballot this November...A lot of people that I talk to are going to vote AGAINST the upgrades because it is reportedly going to raise their property taxes 10-14%, and this County is mostly a County for Tourist now with the largest employer being the County itself which does not bode well for the natives of this county who would like to raise a family....Expect a few more Taxsylvania stickers on cars in the future.....
Transylvania County has changed so much since I was playing for the Tigers that it is hardly recognizable anymore, and we are getting ready to open a new Park with 10,000 plus acres which essentially surrounds the County on every side with a public park....How many parks does one county need?....How about bringing some jobs to the county instead of Beer,Bicycles and more Parks...
I would like to think that Football is not a DEAD sport at Rosman, but there are a lot of folk that are starting to believe the Tigers best days are behind them, and I hope they are wrong!
