This posting is for all of the Rosman Fans that watch this forum.
I want to voice how proud I am of Rosman!
Even though we have started out 0-3, I am very proud of our football program. To accomplish what we have in the past 4 months is impressive. With only 4 months under a new coach with a total different scheme for the program,I still believe that it's just a matter of time before it all comes together. Rome wasn't built in a day!
I believe in our players. We have the talent, stamina, strength and heart to compete with any team we face.
I also believe in our coaching staff. Each week changes are made and we look better and better. Even with the injuries they seem to find someone else to jump in. Under the new scheme they are still finding out where players fit in, where they will benefit the team the most.
Honestly, I believe that we will see significant changes this week.
On defense I wouldn't be surprised if they shuffled some players around to different positions. The right guys are on the field but it looks like some would shine in a different spot.
On offense I'm expecting to see a little more ground and pound.

For the past many many years the road trips were pretty bare on the sidelines. This week at Madison you couldn't find a shiny spot on the bleachers! Thanks to all the fans that are bringing the pride back to Rosman!
Keep coming folks cause the Tigers are DESTINED FOR GREATNESS!
Of course unless you are the "one fan" that chose to holler out a degrading remark to a player during the game, you probably want to stay at home.

Great words! I too believe this team is headed for greatness. I am very pleased to see all the support this year. Everyone involved with last years team knows what it was like for these kids at road games (parents, grandparents, family and coaches wives only). That's all we had there last year. So those huge crowds really help our players out! So everyone keep the faith and cheer for our TIGERS! As coach Stack says, Passion for the process.

I think everyone needs to lay off the "one fan". They didn't single anyone out or say anything inappropriate. There was only one player to even acknowledge him. I agree with a lot that has been said. Our defense has a little work to do to find what's going to work. But to just keep on beating a dead horse about the "one fan" is getting rediculous because I know he wasn't the only Tiger fan I heard yelling their frustrations at the players Friday night. He's just the one being singled out. Get over it and move on! Looking forward to a good crowd Friday night as the tigers play Mountain Heritage. Win or lose, I'm proud to be a part of a great community that comes out to support all our athletes!

I've refrained from the discussion of the "one fan " . But here goes as long as I've been a fan and played at rosman fans have always yelled at the team from the stands and sidelines trying to rally the team ! It's always been a part at all schools in the mountains! So back off the fan I'm sure they meant nothing but motivation and nothing derogatory. Let's go tigers

Have to agree with Tiger Mom....The Players are Hungry for a win, and so are the Tiger fans....I think our passion as fans for High School Football and for a winning team in Rosman, gets the best of some of us at times....I know that I've said some things in the past at games that I regretted later on, but it was because I just wanted the team to win, and NO I wasn't the one hollering at players in Madison County last friday....Unfortunately, I had to work Saturday, and get up at 5 a.m. as I do every morning nowadays, so I didn't make the game, but my wife bought a blue tooth earlier in the day, and we listened to every play on the radio, although the signal did cut out from time to time, but thought Mike West and Matt Morgan did a good job in capturing all the excitement....I do wish that they would not talk over each other as much as they do because it's hard to figure out exactly what's happening at times...lol....But I too have done the same thing when there's a lot of game action, and there was certainly a lot of that last friday night in Madison....

As most folks probably know, I have never really predicted an outcome of any Tiger game in the past on NCPreps.com because I felt that if I picked the Tigers to win it would put too much pressure on the players, and give the opponents and their fans some good bulletin board material...If I picked the Tigers to lose then they would think that I didn't have any faith in them, so I generally just try to be honest and neutral about the team, and keep my thoughts to myself until after the game is played.....As I stated before the first game this year, I don't expect a lot to happen this year because it is a new system with a lot of new players who are learning on the fly against some very stiff competition, and I still feel that way..Remember, we've played 3 teams with as much as 2 or 3 times the student body that Rosman has, so you have to be realistic especially when you have injuries like the Tigers have already had....I think we've already seen steady improvement from the first game in spite of those injuries, and I hope that continues for the rest of the season....I too am optimistic about the road ahead as long as Coach Stack is the Coach, and feel like others that there are better days ahead for the Tiger Football Program....I will always speak the truth about the Tigers when asked by others, and sometimes people won't like to hear what I have to say, but it's who I am, and I am too old to change now...

I must admit that I do like to see all the excitement that is still there in spite of the lack of success so far, and I know the boys and particularly Coach Stack appreciates all this continued support and enthusiasm for our Tiger Football Program...Hopefully, kids who chose not to play this year for one reason or another, see this as well, and will reconsider, and want to be part of future Tiger teams if they are not Seniors..Numbers are important more so at the small schools than larger schools because there's not that many boys to begin with....The kids we have now are committed, and are doing the best they can, and that's really all that ANY fan should ask of them is for the team to play Hard for 4 quarters, and we're getting that from this team even if the results in the win column don't reflect that yet...Hard Work and Dedication will always be rewarded in the end....We as fans have just got to stay Positive and Patient while the team works to get better which I believe it will....

Stay Hungry Players, and Tiger Fans!

Great post Rick I think the kids have a little bit of a chip on their shoulder after last year. So that is why the kid responded to the fan. Do I think the one fan was being malicious, no. However the comment should have never been said.

My apologies for rousing folks up. At the end of the paragraph about the "one fan" I had actually put a laughing face but it didn't install when submitted.
We all do get caught up in the games, especially if you are a former player or have connections with players.
These players are playing their guts out and are putting their heart and soul in for a winning season.
We have to remember that we are the adults that need to be positive examples. At the end of the day our role is to encourage and build these kids up.
Looking forward to another home game this week!

Reminder to Tiger fans that it is Tailgate Tuesday at 7:00 at Concession Stand. If raining we will be in cafeteria.
Bring some grub, drinks, etc. for a great pot luck meal!
Talk with the players, coaches and community. Stack takes the floor weekly and updates everyone on the status of the team. Even opens the floor for questions! It's awesome to have a coach that is an open book and encourages questions.
Been a great turnout each week with lots of home cooking to choose from! Let's keep this tradition going cause you can tell that the players are enjoying the community support!
