RU running backs James, Martin, and Hicks had a productive game, with the trio averaging more than 7 yards per carry. That means our OLine and fullbacks were doing their blocking jobs well.

Carroo had a monster game. Unfortunately, Laviano made a few costly mistakes.

On defense, I like the way true freshman Austin is developing. And Hester is looking very good. Our DL and LB's are playing the run really well. They bottled up MSU's running game.

All in all, an impressive showing against a top ten team.

That's a little misleading. Hicks went for 3.6 ypc, Martin for 4.7 ypc..... and James for 37.0 ypc. Yes, we did a good job running the ball, though - and it's curious that James got just two carries, given that one was a huge gainer.

Wow their yards per carry is higher than Laviano's average yards in the air per pass attempt.

IU gives up 163 per game on the ground and 326 through the air...If RU can stay away from turnovers, I like our chances

Right now Martin, James and Hicks are #'s 4, 5, and 6 in YPC in the B1G.

Laviano is #1 in QBR and Comp Pct. #4 in TD's despite playing 1 less game than anyone else in the Top 7. Also near the top in yards per completion.

Carroo is #1 in TD receptions. He'd be #1 in YPC but isn't included for some reason.

Very concerned with a running back with James history only getting 2 carries in this game, looks to me like the old James is back! If we get another run like that or similar do we win the game? It seems so simple to me, why make it harder?

With IUs poor run defense, expect to see more of James...He is ready for a breakout game..

I submit that this Rutgers football team is better than people, especially some people in New Jersey, give it credit for being.
But they need a win this Saturday. Carroo is back, Flood is back, and the toxic gang is gone. Now we need to get to work.

How did I know by just reading the Title of this post, that there would be a collection of lowlife's using it as another opportunity to take more shots at the starting quarterback of the Rutgers Scarlet Knights---the team they allegedly are fans of. This board is really a joke.
