You think he and Dad will be together?Haha just in time for Thanksgiving dinner.
Yea 247 site has reports of it but nothing from mainstream CFB media yet. Still could be true.So you think @bofayungsavage is the official Iowa Football handle? I know there are rumors, but I don't think this is official, lol.
That's the rumor. The old man is getting up there in age, he's 68 and seems like a man who wants to finally enjoy his family. You think he and Dad will be together?
Call @boyfayungsavage the NY Post of Iowa Football. So you think @bofayungsavage is the official Iowa Football handle? I know there are rumors, but I don't think this is official, lol.
Thanks for the confirmation. I was off to a meeting and thought I found at least one or two other more reputable sources.
There’s no way he’s hitting the 25 points per game mandate. Currently sitting at 17, so he’s gone either way.
Just as long as Brian has no eligibility left to play backup QB!Watch, now the guy will let it fly. Double reverses, flea flickers direct snaps to the WR…
Yep, it was a joke X post, but it was funny. Maybe I should have pointed that out. A lot of comments under the original X Post pointed that out.The crowd show is from the Cavs NBA championship celebration.
IU had an interim OC too. I haven’t seen anything about Ferentz leaving his OC job though until after the season. We got to face two interim coaches and now an interim OC!! It’s setting up as a special season
Rod Carey at Indiana ? I didn’t think he wasIU had an interim OC too. I haven’t seen anything about Ferentz leaving his OC job though until after the season.
IU fired Walt Bell in season and replaced him with CareyRod Carey at Indiana ? I didn’t think he was
Right ferentz is staying through bowl game.
Maybe interim is not the best word . But it does mean temporary
I got the impression he wasn’t happy about it either.I think he's seriously thinking about leaving
This article makes me feel he wan't consulted, felt timing wrong and wasn't thrilled about his son having stipulations added to the contract that was already signed
Kirk Ferentz focused on end of 2023 season despite Brian Ferentz news

Worst Case Scenario.

fair questionI watched Kirk’s weekly press conference, and a reporter actually asked Ferentz “How do you feel about the decision?” I mean, whether you like the guy or not, what the heck kind of question is that to ask to a father when his son is terminated? What is the guy supposed to say?
probably to be the replacement when dad retiresI never understood the benefits of hiring your child into such a prominent position when you don’t own the company…
Helping them get started makes sense. Graduate assistant to lower level position coach makes sense. After that I’m not sure it’s worth the risk to the family dynamic long term.
But that’s just me…
Bill Snyder tried it too and it didn’t work at KSU either.probably to be the replacement when dad retires
She might technically be interim and I’m not sure why they haven’t removed the tag. From what I’ve read in the past, it was with the assumption she came on board to takeover for Barda when he retired. She was an AD somewhere else in the lower levels and took the deputy AD job at Iowa for a reason. My guess that's the truth , but he'll retire if the interim AD isn't replaced .
The way his son was let go without his input ( I believe he didn't know) probably
pissed him off enough to not want to work under her next year.
Like I said just a guess based on opinion without any facts to back it up
