Rutgers is 10-7-1 all time (1869-2014) when playing on Halloween. They are 25-16-0 playing on the day a full moon rises over Rutgers campus. Rutgers lost 13-10 at the Russell Athletic Bowl on December 28, 2012 - the only post season Rutgers game played on the day of a full moon. They have never played on any Friday the 13th in their history. The first Rutgers player to wear #13 was quarterback Francis Scarr according to the November 27, 1914 New York Times.

*The greatest Homecoming Day/ Halloween game ever! It is the only walk-off touchdown in Rutgers Football History. Go to 2:58:00 out of the 3:13:00 (replay at 3:03:00 and 3:06:00) you tube video and enjoy. I was there looking down over that part of the field that day when the touchdown occurred. By the way, put the scarlet "R" helmet with the rest of those uniforms and I'd be very happy.

The November 1, 1913 Daily Home News reported Wesleyan got into town at five o’clock Friday night and was allowed to watch the massive Halloween parade in New Brunswick before being ordered off to bed. The next day they defeated Rutgers 20-9. It was the last defeat at Neilson Field for the Scarlet for the next six seasons.

Didny we lose to Connecticut on Halloween in 2007? A notorious game to some for the "ahem" spirited Uconn fans.
