So I renew my season tickets today and the charge shows up on my credit card as Rutgers Girls Soccer Camp!!! Anybody else get this? Is this some idiot in the ticket office trying to be cute or are the folks running the office not paying attention to details?

Someone probably hit the wrong charge code. Unforatuntely, but jeez - call and make sure you are actually getting tickets and settle down.

Renewed last week and the charge showed up as soccer camp, too. That's an awfully expensive camp!

As a consolation I know the Rutgers Camps have some of the best "camp food" in the nation. At least you'll eat good.

We've sent our girls team to Rutgers' soccer camp before. Mike's a good guy. Enjoy.

wow. this post is why it such an uphill battle for us. OP felt the need to publicize and bring attention to a minor issue in an effort to take the opportunity to embarrass the Athletic Department

Politi hacked the Ticket Office computers so he could write a flame piece on how, despite an 8-5 record with a bowl win, the luster of being in the Big Ten has worn off with the fan base, as evidenced by a massive drop off in season ticket revenue.

you know Scarlet96...you're exactly right. Why else would I post it? I love RU just as much as you....season tickets for 25 years and worked for over 20 yrs in the public sector. I'm frustrated just like most of you with the state of our AD but with eternal hope like you. I read regularly but rarely post on these boards. But when I saw that MINOR ridiculous mistake...and thats what I think it was, a minor systems programming error or some crap like that, I couldn't take it anymore!!! Where is the quality control, particularly in your public facing operation? If our AD can't perfect these littles things, how in the hell can we expect them to fix the bigger problems? I'm not Politi making **** up...this is a real problem, although small it's a symptom of a poor functioning operation that needs stronger management. We need to demand perfection from top to bottom in our AD or we'll never compete. If public humiliation is an avenue to effect quick positive change, and it's probably the best for bureaucratic systems, then so be it. shoot me...guilty as charged. I wanted to send a message to our AD and I hope they got it and permanently fixed the problem. The sooner we get all this mismanagement crap out of the way the sooner we can begin to change the public image of our AD. And no, sometimes a simply phone call is not the answer, you get a brain frozen robot on the other end that takes your message but it never reaches the right people...particularly with government.

Haha yeah I am sure that is what he was doing. It's a slightly humorous topic that people had fun with. Take off the tin hat for a minute.

Its because rodney dangerfield took over the camp in hopes of climbimg the company ladder. You'll need to wear a wig and pretend you are an 11 year old girl for a few weeks.

Apparently I will also be attending the Girls Soccer Camp. Just another shining example of RU's lack of attention to detail.

If the OP didn't post this and it happened to several others isn't it better yo be alerted now instead of risking the chance that your tickets may not have renewed when uou thought they were and they were possibly assigned to someone else. I just renewed mine and will be sure to check my charges on line before I get my monthly statement although I did get a confirmation email ftom Rutgers Athletics and a confirm yo.print out on lone but still that may not always be the case. You pay good money and donate accordingly znd it's only fair to expect good service.

Chip, FWIW, I bring clients to games and treat this as a business entertainment expense for the business tax deductions. I will have a hard time explaining a girls soccer camp, especially since my daughter is 25 and has a full time job. This wasn't just a one time error, it appears to be a system issue.

Pretty sad actually. It's a just another small example of the mismanagement that has gone on for years.

Last year they sent me the wrong parking. Gotta call and get it fixed. Now someone has to call and get this fixed.

How about just fvcking do it right the first time.

Mine says "Rutgers Athletics" so I'd have to guess the glitch has been addressed.

Good thing some have nothing better to complain about...

So these repeated screw ups are fine?

Another Scarlet Nation poster I'm sure we'd all love to work for!

Shill, no one said a glitch is "fine." But it was indeed a glitch. And I'd have to guess it's been fixed. Good to know that no place where you've worked has ever had one...

Spoke to someone in the ticket dept and it's apparently a glitch they are working to fix. However, my tickets are paid in full and it shouldn't cause any problems.
