Honest question. Does Laviano have a hard time remebering what down it is? Why else would he throw that underneath crossing route with a defender right on top of the receiver and it being 3rd and 9.
Like us, he has no confidence in his arm. I really don't know why he is out there.

I really don't think he has any confidence in his arm. His only pass yards come of YAC's and downs where running is a legit option. When he is forced to drop back and pass, he just can't do it. I chalk it up to his lack of confidence in his arm, and Flood's overall conservative philosophy- better to get three yards and punt than not get any yards and punt. They just give up even trying to get the first because they don't have the ability on those downs.
Any real QB, with this run game would be lighting it up today.

Austin made 3 horrible plays in one: horrible defensing of the pass, which could've easily been knocked down, then horrible laziness in just watching Poe start running away, and then horribly weak tackling at the end of the run. Simply horrible.
Just think if army didn't go for the fake field goal. They would only be down by a touchdown right now.
...this has all the looks of our first loss to Army in nearly 20 years...

Not necessarily. If we can actually move the ball and score here, we're fine. As down as I've been on this team I think we pull it out but in true Rutgers' fashion, we won't make it easy or pretty.

That Carroo TD drop in the first half was on Laviano too. Carroo never had a pass thrown to him all year that hit him in his hands in stride. He was surprise by that one.
