Tough one to call not knowing the health of KM, Felton and Sutton.
I have to be a Homer though.
Maryland takes their first drive down the field like our D is bitter. But settles for a FG and the board goes f-ing nuts in the game thread and at least 5 new threads pop up just hating everything Rutgers by guys who claim how big of fans they are.
We end up going into the half 10-10
Take our opening drive 2nd half for a TD- get 2 more FG’s the rest of the way and win 23-20

There are a few predictions that have RU scoring over 20 points. RU has averaged a little over 8 points per game in their 5 losses and hasn't scored more than 16 points in any of those games. They're probably going to have to score defensive and special teams TDs to reach the 20 plus point mark, unless KC has a plan B on offense that we haven't seen all year. Or Maryland's defense is as vulnerable to between the tackles bully ball as the teams RU has beaten.

I hope it is windy. That is all.
Unfortunately forecast calls for winds to be light and variable.
We need Lewis to have a breakout game this season and get to TT. He seems to have been very quiet this year.

In fairness nobody’s scored more than 17 on OSU. We dropped 16. Outside of PSU, nobody’s scored more than 16 points on Iowa either. And PSU gave up more than 15 points only 2 times this year. Very few teams put up points on the last 3 teams we’ve faced. Their defenses are elite.

Now I’m not saying we’ll put up 20+ on Maryland (seems unlikely if our OL is depleted) but Maryland has given up 20 or more points in 6 of their 11 games including to teams like NW, Illinois and Charlotte. Maryland plays good D but it’s not quite at the level of these other teams.

Wish we could have put such pressure on the Iowa quarterback.

I feel like we know what to expect from RU but have no clue which UMD team will show up. Ultimately, I think it will come down to whether or not we can get Taulia out of his comfort zone.
This. MD has had a far wider range of performances than we have, so I have no idea what's going to happen on Saturday. The only thing I'm fairly sure of is that MD won't blow us out like the last 2 seasons.

I go by what they did their last game. Against Michigan they stopped the run good, and the defense was usually always in the right positions. On offense they have a solid OL and very good receivers who are hard to cover. And a good QB who doesn't scramble that much. They fought back to within 5 in the Michigan game and Michigan is an elite team. Michigan got a couple turnovers, MD I think got one.
