If the B10 had done a better job scheduling earlier games this would not have happened. With the bad weather out west we may need extra time to get to Minny. The B 10 still kisses Izzo’s butt. The Big Ten has been screwing us over for as long as we've been in the league. Good for Pike and Hobbs to refuse to bend over for Izzo and the league that never gives us a break. I liked the idea that someone had of telling the Big ten we'll change the date if you give us the win at Ohio State that we earned.

The Ivy League plays back to back every week. Why couldn't Minnesota and Michigan State play back to back? The Big Ten Tournament is 5 consecutive days of basketball. So one team could conceivably play 5 games in 5 days.
Listen, if they actually cared about the shootings and everything else, would these games be played this soon in any form??

At Minnesota is our most important remaining game - we have to win there. I'm sorry but we can't jeopardize our whole season to do them a favor.

Maybe if the OSU game hadn't been stolen from us and the MSG game hadn't been relabelled a home game the week before it was played, which affects our NET a bit, I might have a tiny bit of sympathy for these other teams, not not with how we've been screwed over the years. And that's not even counting the 10+ year wait to get a full B1G revenue share.

This is what should be done
1.) move up Rutgers -Minny to Wednesday as a compromise
2.) move marykand -Penn state came from Sunday to Saturday (both play Wednesday …very fair )
3.) move back Michigan star Satuday game to Sunday
4) play Minnesota -Michigan state on Friday
No one plays back to back …it fits in the slots without affecting national network

That sounds like a logistical nightmare.
I think the better option is to just not play the game. It's not like a win vs Minny does anything for Michigan State in terms of it's resume.
If they get screwed a little in terms of their BTT seeding, oh well. On the other hand they got to play a conference game at a neutral venue and have it count as a road game for the metrics.
They are using the excuse that they need to heal by having another home game

No one cared when RU had a 7 game stretch where only two were home or when MSU had a full week off going into the MSG game.

Some cared. Or that the next game was a two day turnaround against Indiana away.
Many would not listen as they could not see how unfair it was… SMH

Exactly. League didn’t care if they shafted RU and benefited Indiana and MSU and Izzo but many fans nothing to see here.
This is why I HATE some people on this boards obsession with making friends with posters from other schools. F them all , they didn’t want us and it drives them crazy when we beat them.

The Tweet comment about us being cowardly and afraid of Minnesota is really annoying. Probably just a dumb Michigan State fan but seriously - we’re not darting a game against Minnesota. We just don’t want to play again so soon. We have one starter suffering from back spasms right now and another with shoulder issues. We’re already depleted due to a season ended injury. Why would we agree to play a game sooner than we’re scheduled to?
