At this point, I've completely come to grips with all the upheaval in the portal. The landscape is now reminiscent of going to the playground, and the courts are packed. You try to connect with the strongest 4 players that you can so you can win and stay on the court. If you lose, you're looking around to see who you can run with next time to have a better chance of winning your next run. .....and on and on.

Sad to see Mya and Lisa go. They both came in with a lot of potential. Also sad that Kiyomi didn't work out. That said, ....Mya and Lisa have to feel blessed that they had a HECKUVAn opportunity while here at RU. All who've been on this roster over the last three years, with the exception of Destiny, Kaylene, and Kiyomi, were blessed with an opportunity to play arguably the toughest conference in women's basketball, against many of the best players in the country. No other team in a conference of this level would have provided a more clear path for minutes than they got here at RU.

Maybe a change of scenery is best for all of these transfers.... incoming and outgoing. Hopefully Lisa and Mya can strengthen their bodies to take their games to the next level. They flirted with it while here but never got there. Hard to say whether the fault lies more with the coaches, the players themselves, or nagging injuries, in regard to lack of development.

Tbh...... I think the new point guard from BC would have been a big help for both Mya and Lisa to flourish as scoring 2-guards.

How about Sakima Walker!! I felt for her this season due to the lack of playing time she got over the past two seasons for SCar. She showed SO much potential while here at RU.

Happy to hear that she can take advantage of the new JUCO rule that will give her another year of eligibility. Though she may not want to come back to RU, our program would provide an excellent opportunity for her to get all the minutes she could handle in a highly visible and competitive conference.

Wishing her a healthy and highly productive final year of eligibility.

The Kiyomi transfer wasn't RU fault , her support system (dad) wanted his daughter to be the only one with ball . if anyone was going to coach Kiyomi it was him and not coach Washington , I heard he was the problem so coach Washington refuse to let him run her program . Penn state will find out soon enough and its a shame because she has so much talent but not learning how to be a team mate , good luck to her .
