I'd say 20% chance he goes to the NFL. Like they said last night, if he goes to the NFL, he only gets to sign 1 first round draft pick per year. At Alabama, he can sign 4 most years. I think he knows he can go down as the undisputed best coach in college football history with 2 more national titles, which is in reach for him.

There's

a 0.1% chance he goes to the NFL

a 0.9% chance he goes to Texas

a 99% chance he stays at Bama

20%-- the only reason to leave is to "prove" he can do it at the next level. It wouldn't be for money or fame. But what if he can't win in the NFL? Then he will always be considered not good enough for the "pros." Right now he is master of a "dynasty," and the perk is that championships bring recruits...which bring more championships. In the pros, championships get you the last pick. I don't think he is confident enough that he CAN win at the next level to risk giving up what he has now.

What satan needs to worry about now is A&M. They've got 30 commits--and a bunch are receivers over 6'3 or so. They could recruit fine before, but now that they have the SEC thing going for them, they are monsters.

0%... He is making 5.5 million this year...

He has it made at Bama, he can get almost any player he wants and has no worries about draft picks or free agency...

I'd say the chances have a lot to do with Lombardi being hired for the Browns' GM post. Lombardi, who is close friends with Saban, has been mentioned for GM but so far hasn't been hired.

Didn't he already basically admit that when he came back to college?

The only chance he goes is if it nags at him that he failed and thinks he will do better. I'm guessing he will be perfectly happy being mentioned as possibly the greatest college coach ever and being worth north of $10M??? North or $20M??
