From the article:

[*]What will do you do this fall? “He said I’m going to stay in Georgia. They are going to find me a job. I’m going to work. I’m going to physical therapy at least seven days per week. I guess I will work, go to physical therapy and get strong … I will come in with the class of 2013. I’ll get there with the early group so I can do winter workouts and spring football.”

Is he not saying that Alabama is going to find him a job? How is that not an NCAA violation?

Speakingof potential NCAA violation, what does he mean by this:

[*]What other schools were recruiting you the hardest? “Tennessee came through and I only talked to them one time. They gave me a number and the number didn’t even work. There was South Carolina and Georgia. They both stopped talking to me because I was committed to Alabama.”

He should call Cecil Newton and see if he can get a number from Auburn.

UT must not pay as well...

Cam Newton and Auburn set the precedent. All is fair. Bidding wars are a go.

This is Saban's way of getting around the hard 25-signee limit. You say I can't sign more than 25. Fine, instead of signing this guy and having him grayshirt, I won't sign him and instead give him a written promise that I'll sign him next year.

..If you don't have enough sense to realize Saban will drop you like a hot potato as soon as he takes a year to locate somebody better than you, then you don't even deserve that preferred walk-on offer from Troy that is heading your way.

..this is about Saban feeding a player ********.

I realize this young man (will not call him kid) does not realize what a cutthroat business recruiting is, & he isn't aware Saban will abandon him as soon as that glorious 5 star stud RB from Podunk High begins to show interest in Bama this summer.

Dude should forget Alabama & commit to a program that is not filling his mama's head full of empty promises.

It really is sad that people think it is just normal and ok for Saban do this. This young mancommitted to Bama a year ago andSaban obviously took his committment, thenhe waits until the very end and say "whoops you were the 26th committment, you are going to have to wait until next year to sign. Here is a napkin with my signature showing that you will still get a scholarship and we will be sure to find a job while you are waiting". It is one thing to tell thehim 6 months ago so he can look at is other options, it is another thing to tell him a couple weeks before signing day.

I guess when you get paid $5mil a season it is easy to justify this type of behavior.

Thought that statement was kinda odd too. Think he'll qualify academically?

I bet that they were pretty honest to him after his injury that they might push him to the next year due to numbers. There is no way that Bama would play a true-freshman running back that missed his senior h.s. year due to a knee injury.
