Message boards around the B1G and SEC were buzzing yesterday after the proposal by BB to introduce a B1G v. SEC Challenge. I tried to address the concerns raised by all parties and created a proposal to make the "Challenge" more feasible.

Hope you enjoy the read.... and the potential matchups are awesome!!!

Unnecessary for either conference...they already have a tough enough conference slate as is...and they play each other in 3 bowls or something like that...

This ideal will, and should, go nowhere...

BB is thinking B1G but getting the SEC to schedule decent programs will take baby steps. They appear to still be in BCS mode of assume that they will be overrated to start the year and then just don't lose to non-conference teams. Check out this week's slate of games:

Florida vs Florida Atlantic
South Carolina vs The Citadel
Auburn vs Idaho
Alabama vs Charleston Southern
Georgia vs Georgia Southern
Kentucky vs Charlotte

I can understand these games being in week 1 to be a glorified scrimmage but in mid-late November? Ridiculous.

I'd still love to see the Big Ten play SEC teams in September and SEC teams play Big Ten teams in November. Maybe the idea of each conference hosting the games every other year would be a good way to do it.

Yes, the two conferences play a lot in bowl games, BUT I think fans of Big Ten teams would love to see how the SEC could play in the cold (and the bowl games are generally warm locations or indoors) and the SEC fans would love to see how the Big Ten teams could deal with the southern heat.
