With Scotland losing so many seniors and Richmond returning a good amount of decent players who do you guys see taking the crown during the 2018 season ? Also heard the Britt has a good senior class. Curios to see how this plays out.

Purnell Swett may toss up with Lumberton. I give Lumberton the edge considering I heard they have a lot of returners...including the qb (sorry SC lol).
I believe Hoke is going to surprise some folks with the new coach. He's well known and respected in the community. Should be able to connect with the players.

Jack Britt should show improvement with 2nd year coach.
Pinecrest has benefitted from the cupcake schedule. Before their only challenges were Scotland and Richmond. Now they could have 4 losses in the conference.
Despite all the talk SC is not the same. They loss a lot of seniors. They weren't able to get Davis from 71st or qb from Lumberton or Richmond to transfer. Word is they still have something cooking. Their offense was their difference. They just out scored people.
Richmond is dangerous. They have a good qb and speed at receiver. They gained a lot of their confidence back.
SC will be in the hunt. They have some good pieces between Smiley, Dockery. QB will be good question. Coaching carousel may play a factor also.
71st will be strong and steady as usual. They are known as running back U as well. Davis is the top QB in the conference...lot of people say he's the best safety if he would go to that side of the ball. Wedlock is a stud at fullback and linebacker. Defense is stingy. They should pull it out.

more like 1-5 is the interesting part. Richmond has the QB but other than that are they that explosive to consider them 1? How many did they graduate? 71st always has the OL and now they have a 6'2 WR to help the QB. Scotland I hear is reloading no matter what that the bad mouther news paper says, they will def be in the running. Britt has a good RB and LB's for days. Pinecrest has the DL and a corner turning heads.
None of them are an outstanding #1 but we will see?
I think Lumberton could possibly be thrown in there as well, If they bring the offense from WB to Lumberton then that Wing-t will def do great things there and they have some athletes to compete. Hoke losses a lot and purnell swett never has enough so those 2 are fighting to stay out of last place.

Until richmond can stop any one that matters on defense i'm not buying it. offensively they should be awesome but they have always been turnover prone and again their defense against the run has been woeful and even raiders will say so. Smiley, wall and mckoy will run for days you can count on that. Now RC might throw for days on SC as well.

Lumberton will not finish 8 Buck guy. Right it down.
I dont ever mistake you....I truly understand the Billionaire coach can make it rain, sell shirts, blow up another helmet, and get new uniforms, but the fact of the matter is that I give Lumberton 9th place

I see why youre Larry now. I dare you call the Robesonian

1. Scotland - Top dog until proven otherwise.

2.Richmond - Raiders and Dirty Birds will like nothing more but to knock off the Top Dogs!!! They'll both have a chance with 2 All-Star QB's leading the way.

3.71st - The Dirty Birds have as good a chance as the top 2 to win the conference. They will be in the mix.

4. Pinecrest - Outside looking in, while Britt right on their tail.

5. Jack Britt - The Bucs picked to win the conference on Carolina Varsity. Could be the suprise team of the conference.

6. Lumberton - L-Town and Hoke will battle for 6 and 7th.

7. Hoke - Bucks will be in a battle with L-Town for 6th

8. Purnell Swett - Rams will either be in the basement or 6th. If S2V was coaching, I would've gave them the top spot!!!!!

I’ll climb out on a limb here and agree with Large Lawrence. I too believe the Pirates will finish higher than 8th. No matter how you try to slice it here though - after the Scots and the Raiders, predicting the order of finish in this conference is crap shoot.

1) Richmond . Raiders reclaim the too spot with a large crop of hungry kids
2)Scotland loses a lot but still remain a top program
3) 71st still physical and capable
4) Jack Britt with a lot of returners back they should surprise some teams
5) Pinecrest takes a small step back but still dangerous
6) Hoke returns thier entire defense but need to find to find a stable front on offense
7) Lumberton should be better than last year
8) Purnell physical team and have a great wide out
I wouldn't be surprised this year to see 4 through 8 have some mix and match wins and loses.

Now that's a prediction.....lol. For some reason people keep sleeping on 71st. They had a few touchdowns called back in the Richmond game and lost by a lucky touchdown. Played the game without Reggie Bryant. They've beaten Jack Britt the last 3 or 4 years. They finished 2nd in the conference remember.......Hoke is really gonna surprise people. The new coach really has the community excited about football. He has a track record of success and lots credibility in the community to get the players to come out. We only have a few more weeks before the rubber meets the road....

utilize the pass in what degree, the run has been pretty dang good in recent years, if you
have the horses to run then pass just enough to
keep the defense somewhat honest, granted Im not sure we have the essential horses this year and no doubt more of a variety will probably be
needed.

Yes the run has been pretty good the last few years, but has it gotten you the ultimate prize? With White gone plus a revamped O-line, would expect them to pass the ball a little more until the big boys up front gel.

Let's not forget that Scotland has a new Div ll Offensive Coordinator as well. I have a feeling that he'll have some wrinkles in there specifically designed to tailor our offensive unit.

I'm certainly not saying were gonna win the conference but I sure wouldn't let this group of guys get any confidence or it could very well turn into a special season again.

Most definitely agree... we got the horses to run... but holes that these horses run through this year are going to be a lot smaller due to the loss of one of the best O' Lines SC have ever seen. While I think Smiley is Awesome (more powerful runner than Zamir even, Zamir was just faster and more agile). I think this year comes down to how good our defense and O'Line is this year...but don't get me wrong...not as strong as the past...But we're still Scotland.

I think the last statement is the the one that matters. These kids have not faced L's often and I just don't see that happening this year. I think SC will play in games much closer than the past but i believe if the 3 headed monster stays healthy that is too much for any D to key on. Defensively I'm concerned about our NG play and linebackers. If SC stays with a 34 D we will have to find some stellar LB play. Not sure where it comes from other than Smiley being a 2 way player. I do not know anything about the Callahan kid but I hear he plays with tremendous heart and effort. I still think we are one of the favorites in the east as long as we stay reasonably healthy.
