Must not be confident in Sarr playing.
This is good news for Sarr. Why would UK think they could get Toppin a waiver and not Sarr. The NCAA has already approved Sarr. If the SEC was going to turn down Sarr then they would turn down Toppin. It is a good sign as far as I am concerned. I believe they know Sarr is going to be approved and that is the reason they decided to apply for a waiver for Toppin also. Nothing to lose and the NCAA and SEC are approving almost all applications for waivers this year unless there is extenuating circumstances.

I don't understand who said that athletes can't transfer to the SEC with 1 year of Eligibility. It says in the SEC rules they can transfer they just have to sit out a year plus on the rules it says the athlete can apply for a Waiver. It is all in the SEC rules.

With Greg Sankey approving Waivers for Cade Mays, Joey Gatewood, and others because of COVID-19 and other circumstances Sankey will have to approve all athletes with Waivers. You can't use Covid-19 and other circumstances in 2020 on some Athletes and then not on other Athletes. The SEC Office would have a huge mess on there hands if this starts happening when you pick and chose on Athlete Transfer Waivers after approving some on Covid-19 and then not approving on others.

We now have media saying that the NCAA would now give Winter sports a free year like Fall sports. Winter sports has been hit harder with No NCAA Tourney and now 27 games and not starting First if December and not knowing what the virus will do to the schedule this year. This will help Sarr even more because he would have now 2years of eligibility. Toppin was trying to save a year before but now with this it gives Toppin another year of eligibility. This is why Coach Cal is doing this with Toppin.
