the Grove is badass.
No telling how many people I've run in to or has run in to me from popping out of nowhere because of the walkways.
Its just not as organized as it is at State. Its a big cluster 17. Maybe you like it that way but its not my cup of tea.My goodness man, it's a large grassy area with trees, not a haunted house.
However, I will say that one of the major difference between OM and State, at this point in history, it that OM has journalism department that puts their alumni in the media and enables them to get on lists like this one. The town of Oxford and the OM have marketed themselves and created a perception about themselves, that true or not, benefits that university greatly.
The peripherals of the Junction to me are better than the actual Junction. Or I am just getting old.
To me - the best spot is right by the Cullis Wade Depot.
Go for a game in late Oct or Early November when it's somewhat chilly, and perhaps they're playing LSU.
Top 50 activity in America? No, but the Grove is badass.

I've never been to the Grove so I have no idea whether I'd like OM's "tailgating" better, or ours. But I think it's probably safe to say that both are head and shoulders above other conferences.
