Maybe I'm tired of idiots? Idk I see all these other schools with way better fan bases having seasons like ours with les idiocy. UK fans have never been all in with Stoops. It's called using your brain and not posting to spew ignorance.
Thanks for including for the rest of us, the definition of a DICK.

Been a season ticket holder since 1973, seen a lot of bad football, that being said a lot of you are bandwagon fans. This is one of the toughest jobs in the country. Stoops inherited a lousy team and he has made a lot of mistakes, but you have to give the guy 5 years. I don't see 6 wins next year unless there are major improvements within his staff, but I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. Time will tell, but as for me " I Am All In" hanging by my finger nails!

Ah, maybe I can get better seats again. I wonder if all of the people that start the threads about not renewing season tickets even have good seats?
What difference does that make? Are people who can't afford to buy club seats lesser fans?

Hey at least we have one thing going for us who still plan to renew despite the issues. Yesterdays outcome pretty much guaranteed we won't see a price hike next year. I'm pretty sure they had big hopes of a decent season and a bowl game to build momentum for next year so they could ride that to a price hike. Not so this year.

I don't like this thread.

I think a lot of you are treating this with a pro sports mentality....winning is the only thing, mercenary players, etc. "It's only worth my time if we are winning."

I draw a distinction between pro and college sports. This is MY university. I spent 3 great years earning a law degree at UK. Now I bleed blue, and those kids represent me. I don't care if they are all 2-stars and we never make a bowl game again. THEY deserve my support. The adults around the program, like coaches and athletic directors, are often deserving of criticism. But as far as showing up to support the team....student athletes, young men who give their bodies and souls to playing a game for us. I can't buy into all this negativity.

I mean, if you really feel that way, its your money. Spend it how you wish. Become an ultimate chalk player and cheer for the 'Cats in hoops and Bama in football. We won't miss you at Commonwealth.

I can't get my family to go with me and had rather spend time with them than money on an endlessly disappointing exercise. Not to mention I'll be able to get tickets any time I want them anyway.

I think the tickets are way over priced for the product. I'm tired of buying early for a success that never comes.

If anyone thinks I'm a bad fan, well, so be it.

Real fans? dude, for someone to give up their tickets after this dumpster fire of a season is to be expected. I havent decided if I will renew mine after 25 years. We made sacrifices as fans and put up with higher ticket prices, K fund donations etc. It doesnt make anyone less of a fan. People just have their limits. Thru every coach we have had here in my 25 years, each has failed to do one thing: Recruit speed on defense. It's nice to be able to get some highly rated offensive players, but the road to building a program goes thru your defense.
disagree totally...in 60s-70's it might..this isn't your grandpa's football...ck scores across the country...today you better be able to score lots of pts thus offense needs to be the main focus...that is the main reason our current is failing so miserably...once again ck UK's scoring this season

"UK fans have never been all in with Stoops" What? And you have the gall to call someone an idiot...50k+--35k+ at first two spring games...CWS renovation...new practice facility that will give Kentucky as good of facilities as anybody in the SEC and all of that money was donated by basketball only supporters who had never donated any money to UK football... Great home crowds this year with plenty of noise and lots of student support except for the game last week and the game before that which was horrible weather... You need to check your facts before you open your mouth

The emotions from the game are still pretty raw, but I am not going to criticize anyone who wants to give up at this point. There are much better ways to spend fall weekends, not to mention the money paid out, than to subject yourself to this crap.

So far, its been a lot of sizzle but no steak. This staff has done a great job recruiting so far. But, at some point, its gotta translate to the field, and they seem to be in over their heads once the game starts.

Good post NKY, I agree 100 percent, even though I will keep my 6 seats and pay the $9,600 for them.I think we will have the talent next year to be competitive with most of the teams, but I have my doubts as to the ability of the coaches to manage the game. I hope Coach Stoops gets with his brothers and reviews some of the games. Bob is a good coach, has won a National Championship, and will likely be in it again this year. He had an undefeated team, and has won 10 games in 11 out of 16 years he has coached. Who better to learn from then his brother.

I like the way you started your post but I think you unfairly went negative. Appears you're a bright person that got a law degree from UK and you love the school no matter what. You have that right and I respect it. However; a lot of fans (myself included) feel like Stoops is a bogus coach that doesn't have the ability to put air in a football much less try to coach it. I love UK basketball and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I've tried to follow and support the football team as well. I don't have a law degree but I'm not stupid and I'm finally done spending money on the football program. I'm finished and if enough fans would walk away then the day may come when the administration may do what's necessary to get you the winning program you deserve.

I've been a ticket holder for 18 years. Without adding it up I can assure you UK has a losing record overall and in the SEC. Blaming fans as in my case the last 47 years of being inept is irresponsible. I can promise you, the tens of thousands of $$$ I've given UK haven't been justified.
Agree with you.
I don't know any corporation or individual that has been successful by insulting its customers (except maybe Donald Trump) .

My group of 12 voted in Chicago at the Champions Classic last month to not renew our football season tickets due to the number of night games. We have had tickets since Stoll field and are getting older. The performance of the team had nothing to do with our decision. We're just tired of getting in at 1 to 2 AM seven Saturdays in the fall. The games have become so long due to the guy in the red hat (gotta sell those commercials to heck with the fans freezing or sweltering to death).
Like you I have given tens of thousands to UK and my loyal group stuck with the program through probation,Bill Curry,Joker etc. For some snotty brat that has probably supported the program half as much or less than my group to call us bad fans is not only unfortunate it is laughable.

To those who want to buy season tickets- more power to you and I wish you the best.

To those on the fence I offer this- No way next year's team finishes with more than 5 wins. First, Stoops' group of first time coaches clearly have shown they have no idea how to coach. So, in order to win a game, UK must outplay the opponent significantly, because they enter all contests hobbled by a sideline that makes poor game time decisions. If you don't believe this, re-watch the Vandy game. Our coaches lost that game all on their own. There are other individual examples too.

As for next year's schedule, it is harder than this year's schedule. Here is my breakdown:

Wins: NM State, Vandy, Austin Peay

Losses: Florida, Alabama, Miss. St., Georgia, Tenn

Toss-ups: Southern Miss, South Carolina, Missouri, UL

In order to go bowling, UK has to win 3 out of 4 of the toss ups. South Carolina has more talent on their team and UL has a coach that eats coaches like Stoops for lunch. Missouri is better than they showed this year and Southern Miss, unlike us, is bowling this year. And please, don't tell me how we are going to beat Miss St or Georgia. They will both crush us, just like they always crush us.

Stoops has two wins in three years over teams who ended season with a winning record- Alabama State and USC (last year).

Best case scenario- 7-5. Worst case scenario- 3-9. Likely scenario? 4-8.
Very good reality based post especially about this coaching staff...MB has made another bad decision and to me the writing is already on the wall...for me personally I'm giving it till the next hire before I make a lasting decision about tickets...the next hire will be the first time we will have facilities to attract the interest of higher quality candidates and I think the fan base is second to none considering what we get in return

Got 4 tickets in sec225,row10,and a blue parking pass. Sold them for the Louisville game for a total of $20!That tells you all you need to know about the status of the football program! And yes I went to the game, had a suite ticket ,and it didn't look any better there, than the cheap seats! Had tickets in CWS since it was built, will not keep ! Don't blame fans like me,that have spent $100,000 for this crap!

Ooooh burn... yeah. Sure. Having UK basketball season tickets and football season tickets is about all I can afford right now. They aren't the best seats but still a significant investment in UK Athletics.

My original point was ----> that's how I got Orange Lot passes in the first place, people dropped them. I expect people will drop some passes this year too. Movin' on up!

It's getting more and more difficult to justify paying the price UK asks for tickets when you know that you can buy them for a half the price or less simply by waiting for the week of the game. This has nothing to do with whether or not the prices are reasonable, but rather are the prices more likely to go or down as time passes.

People can scream and cry all that they want to about UK fans needing to financially support the team or continuing to be "loyal", but it's pretty damned difficult to ignore the reality that the product is poor and it is also not financially to your benefit to purchase tickets months in advance.

Can't understand fans giving up season tickets when they have the opportunity to see some of the top teams in the country play the Cats. They also get the opportunity to not only see these great teams but meet and greet their fans as well. This alone is worth the price of admission

I'm wavering for sure on mine. I spent up for good seats this year that I couldn't even give away for the games I couldn't make. And for the games I could attend, seems like at least a couple of people would offer me other tickets for free.

All to say, the value of UK football tickets right now is darn near zero. I'll be in the stands next year, but not sure I'm going to cut a check of 2-3 grand to UKAA for the privilege.

Section 19 will have 2 open seats. Giving up our tickets, just can't justify the time and money anymore. Especially with no success, or even progress at the least. The ineptness of our AD to put a competitive program out there has pushed me away. I'm a diehard football fan, so don't come with that bs of not being loyal. You can't try to win with the coaching hires he's made!

It is sad, had a lot of great times @ commonwealth. But he's the only AD in the SEC not willing to do what it takes to win. At some point he needs to be held responsible and not given his yearly free pass. I'll wait for all you Brown noses to defend him......at some point you have to ask yourself will he ever make a proven hire to win here? Go CATS

Is that you Mikey?

So sorry. I meant 5-6. And how dare you accuse of being a bad fan.I'm sorry I don't measure up to your blind fandom. As far as I am concerned it's fans like you that are the problem, If you want to blindly support the team buy buying tickets go ahead. I'll watch from home and save my money.

Truthfully, I can't blame anyone who wants to drop out. How you spend your money is no one else's business. But, I am proud to be part of the problem. I will be back next year for my 34th straight year. I admit I am suffering from "football fatigue" right now but by the time summer rolls around I will be ready to go again. It is my alma mater, the school I have pulled for since I was 8 years old. It is MY school and I will support them until I can no longer physically do so. There is nothing wrong with being loyal to your team and school. The Monday after we lost to UL, I wore my UK shirt proudly. I always will! GO CATS!
