Yes, I was there, and I didn't recall how wide open the receiver was on third down until I saw this on Facebook. I think the throw on that play is a big part of Paterno's motivation to say later that year, " I think we've made the game too complicated for this boy." Worst Penn State team of my lifetime (finished 5-6), and it took absolutely NOTHING away from beating them.

Of course, back then, we were going after the gold standard, trying to beat the program we were trying to emulate. They didn't yet have the rap sheets they would have in the 90s, to say nothing of anything else. They were still the school you wanted to be like, and we beat them in their place.

It was sweet.

I was in the house

That pass from sacca to Jacobs on third down and goal was literally right in front of ken seemed like it was in the air forever

All three of Rutgers tds happened in the end zone as well. Mike botti never saw a hole like he did on that 57 yd counter draw td run. He ran a 4.1 40 yard dash on that play

A win tomorrow would be exactly what the doctor ordered. Of course the various haters of Flood, the football program, major college athletics, Barchi, Hermann, the BOG, the state of New Jersey, etc. would end up being conflicted. I won't, I will be thrilled.

Bullship. There isn't a person on this board who would be conflicted about a Rutgers win. Extremely dumb post!

I stand by my post. Based on SOME posts on here the last few days I am convinced SOME people do not want us to win to expedite the end of the Kyle Flood era.

Wrong - not any Rutgers fans I know or have seen on here. Look, I think Flood should be fired now or soon and I'd try to bring back Schiano, as I've said elsewhere. But I'd be happy as a pig in doo-doo to see RU kick PSU's *** and go 11-1 this year and then try to figure out how to keep Flood at RU.

Vividly remember listening to the radio. Crazy yelling at the end. That's right kids, back in the olden days RU football wasn't on TV often. We had to listen to the game.

I was there - 13 years old and as a resident of central PA, rooting for Penn State. Sorry, didn't even know Rutgers existed until that day.

Please point them out. No one, I mean no one wants Rutgers to lose tomorrow.
Your statement is devoid of facts. If RU wins, Flood doesn't get any credit, he'll be back in NJ

Geeze please stop.

If Rutgers get creamed tomorrow you will be the first person to say if Flood was there the would have won.

Take a stand Tango. Post right now if Flood should get the credit for the outcome, a win or a disasters loss. You can't pick and choose after the fact.

Edit: No surprise that Tango won't take a stand here. Maybe his mom told him to go to bed. Or he is busy looking for the buttons to rate the thread.

Why, yes, yes I was there! Thank you for posting. It was great to see that my memory of the goal line stand was pretty accurate.

Let's get another W tomorrow without the last second drama!

I was there and the action at the end was down our end. Great stand and Botti was terrific. We rented an RV and it was fun hanging out in State College after that one. Most fans were gracious and since Dick Anderson was our coach they took some consolation out of that.

Wow take a chill pill.

I think it's time for your medication or elixir.

If Wilson makes a poor decision during the game or a game changing decision it's on him.

If it's just a standard game, win or lose its on Flood.

Take a stand Tango. You talk crap. Does Flood get credit for the win or a loss.
You were the one that made the bold statement that if RU wins that Flood deserves the credit. What about if Rutgers gets rolled over. Will you make excuses?
Call it now Tango. Man up and take a stance.

Dude I read your nonsense. You will give credit to KF if they win. But if they lose who you going to blame. BTW I am more sober than you. Some people work all day. Does your mom cut the crust off your PB&J?

How about posting who gets credit for the win or the loss. You only made a bold statement on this thread that Flood gets credit for the victory

Did you read what I posted?

Talking to you is like talking to a two year old.

Here is what I posted above:

Look 10 posts up fool.
Look up before that jack ***.

Just wondering. What lot do you park in. Funny that we have never met. Over the years I have met everyone that supports Rutgers but I have never met you. Why is that? Do you go to games? Have season tickets?
