She got a bit emotional, but can you name a top athlete that doesn't? Especially on the biggest stage?

How do you all feel when the white men tell the official **** you and to shut the **** up repeatedly in a match? How about when John McEnroe played?.. Asking for a friend.

Lol your takes are just as awful on the paddock as they were in RR (on your other banned account at least )

Your guilt is the whitest I’ve seen in some time. :joy:

The tournament subsequently released a statement saying it regretted that she was given a violation.

"Some of these incidents, you know, have prompted us to reflect on the clarity of our own communication to the chair umps," USTA spokesman Chris Widmaier said Sunday. "These incidents will prompt us to analyze ways of perhaps instituting some change. We certainly do not want inconsistencies."

:joy: I'm white? Who knew? Maybe now I can be like you and ironically tell black people what it's like to be black.

If a person can change their sex, why can't they change their race? It's time for Graf to go in for some changes.

The WTA released that statement.

The point of that chart is that there wasn't gender bias in the fines/violations. In fact, it could be argued that it actually favored females.

The coach admitted he was coaching.

A broken racket is an automatic violation.

If you call a chair umpire a thief, it's going to be an automatic violation. He had a lot of restraint there in my opinion.

Plus she was wrong to mention her daughter, demand an apology, etc. She lost her mind. Blame it on her coach or herself, not the chair umpire, racism, sexism, anti-Americanism, blame it on Nazis, etc.

Responsibility for one's own actions was lost a long time ago I guess.

Several males players have openly admitted saying much worse and ben heard saying worse. Johns Isner told one at Wimbledon he was a ******* because because John didn't trust Skyhawk. He got nothing. Andy Roddick use to cuss the hell out of them and get nothing. He even admitted to it. Remember Agassi and McEnroe. Hell, Nick Kyriogs goes off them all the time and has meltdowns on the court and talks **** to the fans and opposing players. Typically laced with profanities and rarely get's warned, but nothing further if that. Why is being called a liar or a thief so bad? Obviously she was emotional, just let it rant unless it truly becomes and offensive and move on. That's what they do with the men. You also have to remember, she has dealt with also having a suit banned this season, that had nothing really wrong with it, and no other players did. She's already been drug tested more this year than any other players, male or female for like the last 2. I'm sure she felt that it was just something else on top of it. So, while I don't think she should have erupted to much, he should have had thicker skinned and just let it slide. Being called a thief or liar in the heat of the moment isn't really that bad. Not when he hears worse from men regularly and doesn't do anything.

Sounds like damage control to me. It's kind of like apologizing to your wife. Doesn't matter if it was your fault, apologize anyways. In fact, when you wake up, that should be the first thing you do: apologize.

Seems to be where we are headed.

What damage are they apologizing for if she was the one at fault?

If they thought there wasn't some issue, wouldn't they release a statement in support of the call and the official?

Was he the chair umpire in any of those matches?

The public opinion.. err a certain side of the public, I should say. I spelled it out above. Before people could become too enraged and incensed.. The Tournament headed this off as quickly as they could. Just apologize, even if you didn't do anything wrong.

Yea, several. He is one of the main officials in tennis. I know for a fact he's done a few of Kyrio's matches, I'm pretty sure he's the guy Isner wen't off on over sky hook. He also got did a match earlier this US open and gave another girl a penalty because she turned her shirt inside out after sweating so much. However, in all the male matches he umpired, he did not do he same when the men took their shirts.

I'm not saying beyond a doubt he was sexist and I do NOT think this incident was racially motivated. But, I do think he is a very inconsistent referee, and the game penalty was incredibly excessive for what she said compared to what he hears from males regularly.

Stephen A was on the radio today talking about how great Serena was as a player, and then said “she was wrong this weekend and there is no questioning that fact.” Guess he needs to be labeled a racist as well.[winking]

Possibly, but I do think they see there is a bit of inconsistency as well. On both sides really. She still should not have been docked a game. It was excessive comparatively, not to mention that it just ruins it for everyone.

Why would we label someone a racist for simply not agreeing with her? That's a bit of a stretch, no?[winking]

I've never said she was right, just that the game penalty was excessive comparatively to punishments he has done for similar or worse actions. I think she did get a little carried away, especially when she was telling him to apologize, then not to talk to her. However, it's a high pressure, high stakes, heated situation. As the official he has to have a little tougher skin and be somewhat balanced in how he handles things. If you are going to let some players cuss you out and say much worse and do nothing, then you shouldn't be docking people games for calling him a liar or cheater. Just let her vent and move on, unless it becomes offensive or obscene.

So the question? Yea or no?
Yes, you’re a turd.

Williams made a complete *** out of herself. It was embarrassing, classless, and cringeworthy.

The WTA, if they had any balls, they would suspend her for a month. They won’t however. They’ll cower down because if they don’t, the liberal media and her handlers will bring out to tired and old race card.

Ohh, I'm a sexist pig. I don't deny it. That's why I am an expert on the subject.

I think women are good for 2 things and both can be done on their backsides.

That's okay. As long as you let them know they are victims you've done the important part as a leftist POS.

If you're rich enough or have connections, you may be able to join the elite in the socialist regime and do whatever you want.

When did honest get confused with leftist & socialist?
