Are you telling me you see nothing wrong with this?

The 1940’s called and they want their cartoon back. surely you can do better than this, and white people are never depicted as bad dancers, no rhythm, can’t jump... quit playing the victim card and blaming everyone else.[/QUOTE]
There's literally a movie called White Men Can't Jump. It was a huge success, no one got mad about the title and it's a fantastic movie, maybe check it out.

Dude that cartoon is probably from 1950. You got college age kids complaining of oppression. That cartoon is funny tho thanks for the laugh

They live in the best country in the world with unparalleled historical security and endless sources of entertainment.

No one in the history of mankind has had it better, not a people more free than we are here and now. Things can always be better, let's make them better.

But being offended is not a crime. YOU do not have the freedom to not be offended. Your feelings are not protected by law.

Ofcourse.

"They are all fearful that they could be the next Ramos. They feel that no one has their back when they have to make unpopular calls."

How can they make the necessary judgments if it's so easy to blame some -ism?

The ignorance and delusions of the identity mindset always has real world consequences.

I'm never wrong, you're always to blame, it's your -ism.

You guys really are stupid.

I know you are the "ignore history and context" crowd, so I shouldn't expect anything less.

I urge and compel you to read more history and travel more. In my lifetime the group of white people I belong to was placed in concentration camps by another due to identity politics. They murdered each other needlessly in the name of blame and oppression.

There are real world consequences for the bad ideas you have been misled to believe.

Canada has freedom, Japan has freedom, the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Australia, Belgium has freedom. Two hundred seven sovereign states exist in the world, like 180 of them have freedom. Several of them more so than the US.

So just in case you accidentally wander into a voting booth one day, there are some things you should know, and one of them is that there is absolutely no evidence to support the statement that we're the greatest country in the world. We're seventh in literacy, fortieth in math, twenty-fifth in science, forty-ninth in life expectancy, 178th in infant mortality, sixth in median household income, number four in labor force, and number four in exports. We lead the world in only three categories: number of incarcerated citizens per capita, number of adults who believe angels are real, and defense spending, where we spend more than the next twenty-six countries combined, twenty-five of whom are allies. So, when you falsely state what makes us the greatest country in the world, I don't know what the **** you're talking about?

I could go on for days on that... maybe I'll let someone else waste their time on it.

This is current and covers most of it. You've lost your minds.

Huh?

Was I misled to believe that black people have been depicted in a racist manner for decades upon decades?

No... we need to rework the assumptions you make though.

We could start by typing more accurate sentences. Your question should read,

Was I misled to believe that black people have been depicted in a racist manner primarily decades ago?

That is what my posts in this thread are about. Yet, you claim that I've been misled.

I claim that you have been misled to believe you should view everything happening today through the distorted lense of identity politics and past grievances.

America has a difficult past with regards to race, so does the world. The world has a difficult, barbaric history amoung all sorts of tribes and peoples. Things are only getting better for all of us in America.

Wouldn't you say we lead in deplorables?

Again, I wish you and even the other guy all the best.

I am challenging you to help yourselves. Not debating for entertainment as you perhaps are.
So that's a no on you answering why you think "America is the best country in the world and No one in the history of mankind has had it better, not a people more free than we are here and now." ?

Would you not agree that context and history is also important? Do we want to continue to make the same mistakes or move forward?

The problem is that when you put on those distorted lenses, everything you see is the same mistake repeated. You ignore the complexities of the situation, as is Serena's case here as is various other much more complex issues. You ignore complexity in favor of simplification, blame others instead of looking where you could do better and what you could do to improve the situations.

Then, since nothing is your fault and all is to blame the nefarious "other", you are justified to take what you want from them. Force them to do and say what you think they should say. They have wronged you, so you are right to wrong them back, you deserve it.

It's ok to hate them, they are less than human. They hated you first. You are morally superior and they ignorant. Your hatred is justifiable.

John McEnroe could be a classless A-hole when things didn't go his way.

Serena Williams can be a classless b*tch when things don't go her way.

John McEnroe was skewered in the media when he did it. Not sure what is so difficult about this.

Not everything is racist/sexist. In fact, most crap people try to portray as sexist/racist nowadays simply is not. Doesn't mean it's not out there, but I assure it isn't at the rate some of you desperately want to believe it is.

I would say not continuing the racist depiction of black people is a pretty good start on improving the situation.

You choose to ignore and dismiss it because you want to.

Where, the lips and nose exaggerated features from decades ago? I didn't read everything, but I'm sure the point was made that that is just cartooning and is no more racist than this.

There's nothing wrong with having a large nose, or small nose, or crooked nose from being punched in the face... a nose is a nose.

There's still hope for you, but you have to want better for yourself. Don't be seduced by that other idiot, he'll take you down with him. Misery loves company.

Go cats!

Come on man...there's no history in this country of depicting white people as animals or uneducated in order to justify bigoted ideas, laws and enslavement.
