This is a 4A school, it's not like you were supposed to blow them out. You thought you were but you were wrong.
My personal opinion, we have improved by leaps and bounds from last week. It helps we had a couple defensive guys back this week. Our Sophomore QB played much better and freshman RB played real well. We made a couple mental errors that cost us a legit chance to win, twice we had first and goal and settled for FG’s because of penalties. Congratulations to Shelby, always fun testing ourselves against the best. Good luck the rest of the way.

Well we won but it was ugly.

A little worried that KM only scored 14 against a Asheville team who gave up 43 to 1a Robbinsville.Last night Robbinsville lost to Brevard.
What about Maiden's beating of Watauga last night. Very impressive.Did you all see Reidsville blow out their 4A opponent?
Asheville is hit with the injury bug right now. Literally have 5 available lineman and not including two that was ejected last week and couldn’t play this week. Last two weeks players on the lines are out of place. Doesn’t help our QB goes down 2ndqtr and doesn’t return. Gotta win LOS in which we can’t do right now
Still in shock!….dominating the line of scrimmage against Watauga….is what stood out the most to me.

I worked up in Maiden this summer, for Coach Hawn parents that live there.
Met some of coaching staff while eatting at Don's grill.

Culliver has offers from several schools….good for him! He has it all…speed, great hands, great attitude….and what most haven’t noticed…..he is a great blocker! If you get chance…watch him block downfield….I’m loving that!
Guess this team by their post! We win by 30 over a good team. We are the ****!! We win by 3 over a perennial state contender. We’ll we gotta get back to being us, to many mistakes coach gotta get a handle on this!! Shelby is Shelby every year, these are highschool kids, sometimes it’s just not a blowout. He also knew he said that last weeks game against West was no indication of how good yall were, that 4 didn't play.
We all agree Ac can make some noise rest of way. Alot of talent.
Back to us, we got to regroup, we saw that out Oline play wasn't good as we thought against KM.
It's young group ...No Sr on online.

Bro Asheville is terrible, love to see the high get to the level Wilkins had then. Use to go watch them good asheville teams in the playoffs fun times.
I heard that Asheville had 3-4 lineman out hurt and 3-4 players got elected and didn't play this week either
No worries, never thought we were being disrespected. We played minus serveral players against WF, including our leading tackler (#4) and another starting LB’r who didn’t play against y’all either. He will finally be back this coming week, he is the older brother to our freshman running back #5, and he is missed! Our young guys grew up a lot this week and showed their potential. We will have a really good defense, just need to get the offense going a little more. However WF and Shelby have very good defenses so I think we will be okay on offense as the season progresses. Good luck to Shelby!
Asheville will be just fine, they have a great coach and will get it together. Hope their QB is okay!

1. AC was way better any of thought they would be after seeing score and stats of last weeks game. Most of didn't have inside info on who y'all didn't have playing.
2. #5 can flat out play and #4 brought the wood numerous times.
3. Our O line is very young and a little under seized and it shows on both accounts
4. We have to figure out a different running play than the one we run 98% of the time. Teams (KM and AC) so far have figured it out and are stopping it regularly and easily. We only got running yards on KM in the 4th when their D was tired.
5. Like Shelby Lion said our defense looked tired.
6. AC figured out a little that we were being very aggressive with our front 6 and were sneaking people in the flat or just behind them to loosen us up and then hit us with #5.
7. A win over a 4A team is a very good win and the season is still very young. There is lots of work to be done so dig in Lions and keep grinding.
