I think the game is Burns to win or lose. The dogs won two weeks ago comfortably. I think the talent edge goes to Burns this year. BUT, this is the playoffs not the regular season anymore. Shelby is talented to. And Shelby has much more experience in these kind of games and has been successful as evidenced by all their championships. Burns will have to keep the nerves in check.
Keeping nerves in check is an absolute must. We cannot afford anyone losing their cool and being ejected this time. I told some buddies of mine, if Lee would have taken off and ran just a few times against us, it was there for the taking. But according to MaxPreps stats, he doesn't run much. I saw he finally did that last week, which could be a difference maker Friday. I know the coaches will preach until their blue in the face that the last game meant nothing and to keep their focus on this week. But these are kids we're talking about. It's ultimately going to up to them and their decision making in the heat of the moment.
This game needs to be moved to Thursday. The kids are already out of school Friday for Veteran's Day. So you don't have to worry about classes the next day. The gate will be affected more by the rain on Friday than a game on Thursday.

Totally agree....play it on Thursday and let the kids have a 3 day weekend. I think that is whats going to happen.
I witnessed a new Shelby team Friday night...one I haven't seen yet this season. I saw leaders on the field. I saw excitement. I saw a defense fired up, swarming to the ball, and making tackles against some quality athletes.

We chatted on FB about how Shelby may struggle with FH and on paper it seemed so. Yea their QB was out but it would not have made much difference imo. That was as impressive a win as i have seen all year. This one is truly a toss up but i will go with the Dogs in a close one. Im usually watching the fireworks from my front porch but this one is a must see in person as there will be more fireworks on the field.
