Is this Lincolnton team as good as the one in ‘93. They seem to be really playing good ball.
Even though we lost I am happy for the pals I have made over there over the years... Especiall;y John D, he is as a fine a human as you will ever met and I bet he sprinted all the way home..... Congrats John... Happy for you my friend...
Close but no..... Defense isnt as strong as that team but this team has athletes jist like the 93 team.. Hard to top a Briggs and Goo Wyatt though... this team is very good though .... very good pass defense...and that little QB is hard to stop

. Shelby played sloppy but Lincolnton forces some of those plays. Lincolnton took advantage of those turnovers and that's how u win games. Shelby got away with more penalties than called on them. Lincolnton is so quick and shifty hard to stop. And so short they get facemask penalties 
. And in the end the team with the biggest balls went for 2 and got the win

Word is, one of the Lion players threw his helmet at our players as they filed into the fieldhouse, missed, and struck a child bystander. Not good.

No, my friend, it wasn't me saying anything derogatory about Shelby. I KNOW BETTER ! I have very good friends over there, and one of them is the most famous NC PREPS poster, namely Shelby Lion.
I did yell as loud as anyone there and felt awfully proud of our team, but walking home did recall what I was thinking just before we went for the two points in overtime, "If we miss, at least we will have the revenge factor working for us if we see them again in the playoffs. I'd be naive to think the entire Shelby nation isn't thinking that right now," then all of a sudden I felt plumb tired.
Congrats to our Wolves, WAY TO GO, Y'ALL...Hats off to another very tough Shelby team. Thanks to both team for the great efforts they made. How do they field these great teams, year after year after year.
Post Script: My friend AMD( If anyone doesn't know who that is , it's amaidendevil) came down and took in our game, since Maiden was off tonight. It is amazing how well he knows football. He kept me company for awhile, then joined some of the Maiden staff, who were in the stadium. Thanks for coming, friend(s). Incidentally, he doesn't varnish his opinion, e.g. BBQ King was too crowded to get into, and he is obviously not fond of the Lincolnton traffic. Glad he wasn't involved in a road-rage incident.
Post Script: To our Burns friends, hope you enjoyed the game. Why does every team in Cleveland County have to be so tough ?

Congrats on a great win tonight by the Wolves.
I don’t know him, but thought you might like a story behind enemy lines during a Shelby-Lincolnton game. I was assigned to work the chains on the Shelby sideline. Officials called a penalty and I said out loud that is was on us. Coach Taylor hears it and turns around and yells WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT IS ON US? The entire sideline looks at me and just sees that I am on the chain gang and not a random Golden Lion player. Coach Taylor goes back to coaching the game.
The Wolves are world beaters...
I was there loading up.. 1st of all not good the way Lincolton has it set up to get off field...your fans and team are at exit to fieldhouse.
Shelby coaches brought the team that way
Alot of fans were yelling things at the players and coaches...I didnt see a helment thing but was told a fan pushed a player and it started...
Shelby coaches began right away getting players to buses..
Not saying nothing happened but Lincolnton needs to address better way out for teams,you cant...
And our team had to sit in grass dirt behind bleachers, due to nowhere to go...

This game is officially nominated for the 3A Game of The Year. And the posters from both Shelby and Lincolnton are nominated for SportsPosters of the Year. Great game. I enjoyed reading the posts.
Years past Varsity teams would takeover the JV locker rooms for games. Not sure when that practice ended. Perhaps Anon long string of numbers can figure out a screen name (maybe Lions Know How to Get on Buses) while he thinks of his next diatribe of zero points or solutions given.
Also, I am a realist and hope Lincolnton can sustain a long playoff run. Since the creation of North Lincoln those runs have been sporadic at best. I have always respected Shelby and been on some very one sided defeats. I believe a certain junior high championship was 44-6. I am just glad that running clock that was talked about never materialized.
Not taken away from the way the Lincoln kids played on the field. They had respects and didn't hot dog during the game. Kudos to them. I do feel like it's a nice address. The exit of the teams and the in and out process. Also, we were told when we got there that we would not have a field house due to sewage leak. In the\n Building under the bleachers, we had to sit in the dirt, waiting for the game to start and halftime. Hopefully Lincoln can get something done before.Cold weather sets in cause that will be rough on visitor teams to sit in the cold, address the exit situation

Both of these coward yellow belly schools were on the cusp of 4A and neither petitioned to play up. Both wanted to be in the 1A pitty pat JV platinum league. I think both could have beaten Reidsville this year the way he rams run defense is set up.

We'd like something done, too. Reality bites, though, and we are a low priority these days in the Lincoln County system. Perhaps the Charter School could loan us money for repairs.
Agree on the player exit, although I cant recall any problems there in the past.
We did have some cool new plastic fences, but they didnt get the job done.Shelby, per the expected norm, entered the arena yelling at players and fans. Continued until the buses left. No surprises, at least to us.
The exit could have been different, but there was a fence between them. It just wasn't high enough to stop the helmet launch. I would think the Lions could take back a little of what they'd been so generously giving, lol.

If, by chance, its at our place, we will try to have a warm place for your team. And theres no doubt we will be at least a 17 point underdog then, as well.

Very true from a defensive standpoint... But when the Rams are on defense you only have to worry about facing ten players because 0 hasnt played a meaningful down in two years on defense... Any one that watches can see he could care less about being out there on D.....

I was with the team, I heard both sides yelling and doing, your acting like Lincolton did nothing..
I watched your coaches have to go off on players trying to come out side door of fieldhouse telling them to get to the bus..
Because there try to still yell things.

Again im not blaming your kids I think your fans had lot to do with it that gathered at gate...I know they were trash talking me .
But again I didnt see the helmet thing, I do know kids were saying that fans pushed them in back while comming out...
Only real thing I hated was please stop messing with lights durning game...
