I was with the team, I heard both sides yelling and doing, your acting like Lincolton did nothing..
I watched your coaches have to go off on players trying to come out side door of fieldhouse telling them to get to the bus..
Because there try to still yell things.
It's a old rivalry, that has become new again...
Again im not blaming your kids I think your fans had lot to do with it that gathered at gate...I know they were trash talking me .
But again I didnt see the helmet thing, I do know kids were saying that fans pushed them in back while comming out...
Only real thing I hated was please stop messing with lights durning game...
And I know your city manager ill ask him to see if they can help get problem fixed in room under bl

No, my friend, it wasn't me saying anything derogatory about Shelby. I KNOW BETTER ! I have very good friends over there, and one of them is the most famous NC PREPS poster, namely Shelby Lion.

I did yell as loud as anyone there and felt awfully proud of our team, but walking home did recall what I was thinking just before we went for the two points in overtime, "If we miss, at least we will have the revenge factor working for us if we see them again in the playoffs. I'd be naive to think the entire Shelby nation isn't thinking that right now," then all of a sudden I felt plumb tired.

Congrats to our Wolves, WAY TO GO, Y'ALL...Hats off to another very tough Shelby team. Thanks to both team for the great efforts they made. How do they field these great teams, year after year after year.

Post Script: My friend AMD( If anyone doesn't know who that is , it's amaidendevil) came down and took in our game, since Maiden was off tonight. It is amazing how well he knows football. He kept me company for awhile, then joined some of the Maiden staff, who were in the stadium. Thanks for coming, friend(s). Incidentally, he doesn't varnish his opinion, e.g. BBQ King was too crowded to get into, and he is obviously not fond of the Lincolnton traffic. Glad he wasn't involved in a road-rage incident.

Post Script: To our Burns friends, hope you enjoyed the game. Why does every team in Cleveland County have to be so tough ?

Yes, we were particularly blessed to have y'all do enough wrong to keep us in the game. You beat the daylights out of us in every phase, (sometimes 2 yards out of bounds, lol) and yet...You carried home your Big L.

We will try to amass more yardage enroute to our scores next time.

I should be frank with you here. I cannot and will not ever be critical of our program including coaches, players, fans, posters, school officials or anyone or anything associated with them.

You mentioned that you had contacted our city manager. He will look into it. He is a good guy as you and I both know, and he is also proactive. Have no doubt he will do what he can, even if it means an increased presence of law enforcement.

If it appears to you that we seem to be missing the issue, here, it doesn’t mean we are unconcerned…Please understand that this is our best team in several years and we’re excited about it, and still a little giddy about our win over a perennial statewide powerhouse (Shelby). Hopefully, our programs and fan bases will respect each other as they should.

Here's to hoping the City invests in renovations to our School property. If you noticed our beaten up lot where you entered, you'll see that we arent exactly a big priority with the school system. Funds seem to make their way to other schools at a high rate. If you can get something done for us, more power to you!

I have a hunch that if you all would have won the game, these comments would have been way more tapered than they are now. Had you won by 2 TDs or more, they may even had been 5% of what they are now.

It's like a guise for sore feelings about the L. Yall took the L, wolves had a better game plan and ya'll couldn't stop their offense. If you had your own personal gaping hole of an entrance reserved for the team with complimentary water and gaterade and care boxes with tiny footballs and small wolf figurines, none of that would have won you the game.

You got out played by your fellow cowards when it counted, and you have some compeition in this little pitty pat powder puff league of micro gnats and giant dust mites.

Have you been to Highland Tech? But yes, I've been to Lincolnton. Been a while but I have been. Fun fact, about 20 years ago I played in a flag football league and we played the games at Lincolnton

Is this Lincolnton team as good as the one in ‘93. They seem to be really playing good ball.

They're a really good team for the class.....but that is crazy talk if someone says they are. The 93 Lincolnton team is one of those rare teams that had the two best athletes in Linc. history on the same team plus a bunch of other stellar athlete/players. Gonna be hard to get close to being near that team unless Lincolnton gets to be 5-6a size at least.
