Shelby just might be the best team in the state!

After watching the golden lions on Friday, it's clear to me that no team in 2a have a chance against these guys, and in my opinion they are the best team in the state of NC! the defense is unbelievable, fast and I mean really fast to the ball holding a 3a team to 35 yards! I don't think nobody will score over 21 points on them! QB need a little bit more time, but by the end of the season he will be leading the state in TD passes, and we have one of the best if not the best WR in the state! I know alot of 4a ppl will laugh at this, but I bet don't no 4a school head coach won't to line up in front of them golden lions

Freedom had one of the absolute worst offenses I have seen in years, I wouldn't go crowning us anything yet.... LONG way to go... I will say we will be very good again and the defense is outstanding, but we should know where we stand the next couple of weeks...

us out. I will just say we have plenty of athletes and good offensive
players but no offense. I think you know what I mean. With that said,

Even when Reidsville was wining all those state Championships from 2002 to 2009 there best state championship team was probably at best a 3rd maybe 4thround team in 4A/4AA playoffs. Depth is a major factor in that.

We all know shelby is a 2A school with 3A athletes, they are located in a great part of town that just breeds these kids over and over. Yes, they have 100 kids come out every year and reload, the problem? keeping half those kids eligible and in class the whole year.

Not really Dog, always have a few that need to put the pipe down, or take off those gold colored glasses. I for one am more concerned what the Lions will face at A C Reynolds this Friday. I look for a hard nosed game against a well coached team that could easily go either way. One game at a time. I remember talking to you last time SP visited Shelby. Congrats on your win against the Chargers.

96, being a Shelby fa for 50+ years I have become immune to all the crap that is posted on this forum. I am almost at the point where the forum is no longer fun to read. I can assure you that the chest beaters are in the minority, as most realize they have nothing to do with actual outcome of the game.

We'll find out if Shelby is deserving of #1 ranking pretty soon...at 3A AC Reynolds this Friday and then host 3A South Point (#3 in 3A who just ended Crest's 32-game winning streak last week) on Thursday, Sep 1st. Shelby also has to play Kings Mountain (#7 in 3A) and Crest (#6 in 3A) this year...
