Not really sure how somebody can talk crap about those numbers. They might gripe about the crowing, but the numbers speak for themselves and aren't really up for debate. Pretty sure jealousy would be the only reason for griping and beating you would be the only tonic for that ailment.

Everybody keeps saying you guys are going 2A West (I get the West part) and ND is going 2AA East (I get the 2AA part). Would be a good game to see if our offense could move the ball on your defense. Doesn't look likely that we get to match up unless we both go AA and end up matched up in the West or both make it to the championship.

Good luck to you guys regardless! I have a ton of admiration for your program/accomplishments. Good for NC football as far as I'm concerned.

I'm guessing by looking at past scores that it was Madison in 3rd round of playoffs in 2012

Looking foward to that western regional final against Reidsville. Then if reidsville goes east then a rama wallace rose hill matchup is intriguing. Then the lions against either of those teams in the ship would be great.

For perspective....4A teams never play up...only similar or lower classifications. Imagine if a 4A team was sitting at a 44 game winning streak. How much pub would they be getting? Imagine only playing 2A or lower teams over the last 4 years.....that would be a 72 game winning streak over the last 4 years plus this year.

Just saying....winning streaks are as much who you play as how good your team actually is. I'll take a regular season L and another state championship any day!

Independence has streaks that may never be touched...in the 4A ranks. 109 consecutive games unbeaten (2000-2007), with 7 straight state championships (2000-2006).

Reidsville and Shelby have a lot to be proud of in the 2A ranks...many wins and championships while their biggest rivals (Cummings / Crest) were also winning championships during the same years...having to play those two every year makes it tough to have long winning streaks.
