Nobody from Shelby will start this thread either because they are still in shock that their Lions could lose last night or they are so consumed for the repeat match in two weeks that they are completely overlooking NC. Bad move Shelby, you better wake up if you want to see SP again.

Personally I think Shelby will take care of business but it could be a trap game. Is Coach Ware already studying Northwestern game films and setting up his South Carolina checking account?

Stinson ran all over Hibriten. By all accounts, they handled Hibriten. Terrible playcalling doomed them in the end. Without Stinson, Shelby will kill them.

I think this will be a close game. Shelby's offense isn't really that great and Newton will be able to match them athlete for athlete. Just comes down to who wins the LOS and if Newton can run the football on Shelbys defense.

Stinson is not back. He can come back in round 2 as @beamer24 stated. I haven’t seen Shelby play this year but I know it’s a great program. Nothing but respect for their posters here, fans and players from me. This game I think will be interesting as coach Beam is very familiar with Shelby, and if Shelby’s offensive line is as bad as the South Point posters say then that could cause an issue. Newton’s D-line does get after it and the two edge rushers are pretty dang good! If Shelby can throw the ball around I think we may be in trouble though, that’s one thing I think our defense has shown we have trouble stopping that (Maiden and East Lincoln) I know a lot of people are saying next year is the year for Newton but I can promise you these kids won’t just lay down and give up.

Stintson ran for like 115 yards in first half and then adjustments where made and he ran for like 10 yards in second half. He’s a force on football field. Why was he suspended 4 games

Just out of respect for the young man and his family I won’t put in here why he’s suspended as I don’t think it’s my place. I’m sure any Maiden fan will gladly tell you as they are full of class! I think one of them said it in a post during the week we played them in here.

Hibriten did make some adjustments to stop him in the 2nd half but if my memory is correct he also didn’t touch the ball as much as the first half or as he probably should of in the 2nd half

Not all Maiden fans are classless...and I'm sure Newton has its fair share of bad apples. And you are right it's technically no one's business really what happened. The kid is talented and his youth gives him a chance to learn his lesson early in life. Hopefully he keeps a clean slate here on out, for him, his family and his team.

You are correct @GrizzlyDevil and I apologize for a blanket statement! Good luck to the fans as yourself and the players at Maiden, you guys have some good athletes over there!!!

Word is his names in at Gaffney, not Northwestern..
Cant blame him really is he does 4 state ships in 7 yrs at the helm.
Plus the money , SC schools pay only to coach...
We at Dhelby dont wanna lose him, but i for one support whatever he chooses to do.

If he leaves I think it is a great move on his part, but those programs in SC going look for a big name in Georgia or SC first

Sea turd obviously you didnt read what i wrote, i said how u feel about our nect game, and then if we return to SP.
No where does it say we will come and dominate at Sp..
But u can bet this time around want be a blow out.
I have faith in coach Ware to have another game plan next time around.

I will say this, Sp ran that offense perfect fri, as just a fan of fb, u gotta love to see a well oil machine,
But we still hate yall anyway,
I also will say, for you guys being no 1 seed, pretty screwed up having to face us in round 2

Well u know not, disappointed in our proformace. But mad nooo.
We just got out played in all phases.
Tryed a different Defense, that clearly didnt work, i expect Coach to go back to the basics, and we will be fine.

SF1 The realty is SP's offense wasn't nearly as good as Raider fans have grown to appreciate. The times we mishandled the ball on the pitch option killed at least 3 drives that appeared to be heading for scores. But in respect of Shelby we need to give their "D" credit for our miscues. That is really a very good defense.

If I'm a SP fan and what I witnessed this past Friday I'm tickled to death we have Shelby in the second rd if they win against NC.

Beam, prob will, but i talked to coach Ware Sat. And i know that tge loss to SP, dobt set easy with him.
Come Mon. He will be fired up and have them sameway,
Our D will play much better against a spread team like us.
I think we get past NC. And go to round 2.
