I sure hope our kids don't take the night off and let up after the first three games against top ten 3A opponents.Another concern is losing a top defensive player for the year in first game and now losing our best all around offensive player 8 weeks this past week.I just hope we continue to get better and not take any Friday nights off.

Those are very good athletes who are injured but Shelby has plenty of kids to step in and contribute easily. What is the injury to Camp?
Fracture may get him back but a break usually is a season ending injury. Hate to see this happen. Camp is a big plus. The kid you call Truck came up big for Shelby. Friday night the linebackers and Dline played well limiting long gains. Personally I don't know how you keep Shelby out of the #1 ranking this week.
I hate to hear about these injuries on great players, or any others. I looked forward to seeing the best Shelby had to offer against KM and Crest this year. With that said, I still believe that Shelby wins by 3 TDs here. I hope the boys get a speedy recovery, and good luck to both teams.
This game will give Shelby time to work starters in 1st half,then work 2nd and 3rd string...Still searching for right combo on D.
RS is undefeted,no disrespect to them,but want be close...theres not many teams Ds that can top Shelbys air attack.

I too thought D played pretty well after adjusting, in 1st quarter Sp had 93 yd run and then we gsve them short field and they had another 30-40...
Then lighting break,and when we came back 3 quarters left SP only got like 150 at most on ground,they were 56-288 .
It looked worse then what it was, i really like it when coach Devine put Lb up on end of line..
There still playing with D...trying to get right combo

RS last beat Shelby in 1990 20-14.... Oddly enough our first and last losing season since 1955....

Nah, not all of us. There are some teams that you just know that you're going to blow out, i.e. the Draughns, East Burkes, and in most years, the Rutherford County schools.

He was at Newton Conover and Hickory before he was recruited by East Rutherford. Lol.... Anyway, he wanted to play for a proven winner, a chance at a championship ring, and to gain the attention of college recruiters. He's a good kid, no doubt. Hopefully, he has a speedy recovery. He's a great athlete and has what it takes to play on the next level.
An issue with his collarbone. I don't know if it's actually broken, but he's out 4-6 weeks, nonetheless.
