I give Martinsburg the edge over Phoebus last yr. They were loaded with talented Sr linemen on both sides the ball. This yr would be a good matchup

A lot of yall just talk and don’t know what you’re talking about. Phoebus is very very good. Lost a fair share to graduation like Varina did but Coach Blunt is the best in the game. You’re not competing with them if you don’t have a mix of coaching, athletes and dogs on the team. The only teams in C4 that could’ve given them a game is Huguenot and Varina. Of course Maury would compete with Phoebus. Of course Hayfield would compete with Phoebus. Any team with athletes and dogs gonna match up with.

The closest team Phoebus played last yr to Martinsburg would have been the scrimmage with Maury. Martinsburg's strength was their trench play. I haven't watched Martinsburg as much this yr. Because they have blown everyone out except for Spring Mills.

Martinsburg would especially with Walker back on the sidelines. They’ve beaten Salem and Highland Springs and will play anybody, anywhere. Got a ton of respect for Coach Walker. He gave a few of my guys opportunities to play ball at Concord.
Now you know I'm not gonna let you get away with sneaking Huguenot in there. They ain't on that level yet.

I thought they could play with y’all but thought he would be the reason they wouldn’t win it all. They had some guys though. Wiggins, White, Charles Johnson and Gunnar Reger was a hell of a skill group.
They smacked Stone Bridge last yr too. If Phoebus AD contacts Walker he has full flexibility to make the schedule. They could have them in the schedule as early as next yr or the following yr. I believe they only played 8 regular season games this yr.

to keep it close with Phoebus, will need to bleed clock and have a couple well designed trick plays. This won’t win the game but keep it within 3 td’s. They are just that good.
Can Varina consistently drive the ball down the field and score? Hitting the one off splash play might happen once but sustained drives will be key to a potential win.

For a competitive game it would have to be against a team from the WCAC or QO or Wise from MD. The only team in NoVa that could compete with Phoebus would have been Hayfield this year. But, who knows that is going to happen with Hayfield after this season.
Plenty of schools in NC that’ll play yall. I’d love to see yall run it up with West Charlotte or Grimsley, especially if yall are returning a lot. Wayyyy better bump than the DMV public’s.
i don’t see a big out of district game being at Darling unless it’s the playoffs or back half of a home and away agreement. I think the ticket sales have to be split with the other 3 Hampton schools still.
Phoebus will be a whole new team next year honestly. This is a senior led team all the way around. The defense will return 1 starter next year and the offense will return the QB and 2 OL.
I’m sure you all will be ok after all the new recruits and transfers come in.
Phoebus doesn’t recruit so let’s kill that narrative asap. I’m sure some transfers will come in but the team will be the youngins coming up and they are very good…just unknown right now.

This is what happened with Salem's defense. Graduated the core. This yr Salem had several sophomores playing along with a freshman.
You could do a home-and-home non-district series at neutral sites close to the designated home team. Let me explain.
If the distance between two teams is say five hours, the home team can travel an hour or two and let the other team travel three or four hours. And then reverse the situation the following year.
Not looking up Google Maps for this example but say Phoebus and Quince Orchard (just throwing out two teams) scheduled a two-game OOD series. Play the first one at a big stadium in say...Richmond (maybe Highland Springs) and then play the other game in say...Prince William County or maybe up in Lorton at South County since that's close to the interstate.
Gates and concessions can be split 40/40/20 with 40% each for both teams and 20% for the host schools.
