from the get go, pre Bo, I wanted Paul Johnson. Program would be in a much better place
At least we'd be physical. I've seen HS teams more physical and aggressive than this team.Yea Georgia Tech is lighting it up this season.
We haven't played Physical football since Solich was here. It's not a MR issue. Recruiting will fix that.
Also it must be hard for the Pelini guys to handle the fact MR in his first year with Nebraska's worst roster since the 60's is closer to being undefeated at 3-5 than any of Bo's teams were.
While I don't care for Pelini it would be hard for me to say Riley has been better than him. Every step taken has been backwards under Riley so I'd go far enough to say he's been worse.

Close to undefeated? hahahahahaha. Stop it...you're killing me buddy.
And I would say to that either you are trolling or you really don't know much about the game of football. There have been plenty of positives this season. Give us a true difference maker at QB or RB and this team is undefeated this year even with the terrible pass D and horrible OL.

If we were to ever go that route I'd prefer the Georgia Southern coach.
What positives have there been?
The only ones in the country who see anything good coming out of Nebraska are the blind faithful who think the program is actually going to go anywhere with Riley. Michigan is what you call positive results, Nebraska went in to reverse so hard that they should be required by the NCAA to have a reverse indicator alarm..
Oh I'm a realist. There have been plenty of questionable coaching decisions, but you have to take into consideration everything at play. The lack of talented depth, the toxic environment, new systems etc. We have been in position to win every game. If we had just one or two difference makers at QB, RB or DE we would be looking at 8-0 or 7-1 and that is being realistic.
So our losses have nothing to do with coaching choices made during a game?
The fact that you cannot see the positives tells me all I need to know about your lack of knowledge about football and this program. Michigan? They were one QB away from being a solid team. Hoke had top 15 recruiting classes and they ranked 7th in total defense last year. JH walked into a pretty good situation. MR OTOH walked into a dumpster fire talent, depth, and mentality speaking.
We're playing the what if game again. I wonder how many teams in the nation would also be 8-0 or 7-1 if they also had a difference maker at QB, RB, or DE. Oh I guess only Nebraska.
Seriously? Michigan isn't winning because they have a great QB.. They are far more fundamentally sound all around than they were under Hoke..
I'd still like to see a list of these positives though.. You don't go from 9 win teams to 3-5 because there have been some strides made..
Like I said "There have been plenty of questionable coaching decisions" The loses are more of a talent issue than a coaching issue. We had three dropped TD's today. Is MR supposed to go catch those for the kids?
No it's because they have a QB that doesn't turn the ball over like crazy. Their defense was amazing last year and is again this year. Add that to top 15 recruiting classes and that's the result. Do you even pay attention to College Football?
I get your point also, just saying our problems are more talent related is also saying we're playing really talented teams. Which were not. We were very fortunate to get into OT @ Miami. Probably the only team to beat us with better talent than us. What did they do today?
Also it must be hard for the Pelini guys to handle the fact MR in his first year with Nebraska's worst roster since the 60's is closer to being undefeated at 3-5 than any of Bo's teams were.
You can throw insults around all you want, you will not change my view that this staff is everything the Oregon State fans said it was.
Hes correct, when Bo go here he had Suh, then had nice trio of back, Helu, Burkhead and Abdullah, then he also had Prince and Dennard, L David and Randy Gregory. Bo had a lot of help, thanks to Callahans recruiting. Riley did not get the same love left over from Bo. There is a huge difference, if you want to admit it or not.
I honestly could care less about if you change your views. I brought facts to this conversation while you just continue to drone on with the same agenda. You do you man. When MR and staff get their players in here and start winning I don't want to hear anything from you about supporting this team and staff.
While we are discussing option coaches, I'll go ahead and throw Fred Petito's hat into the ring.
