Which program fans should me more pissed off THIS year? Take everything into consideration. Where the program has been the last few years, injuries, schedule, talent, coaches, rival success, recruiting base and resources, ect?

Who has a bigger gripe?

This isn't a pro Mullen or anti Mullen thread. I honestly am wondering how the current situations compare

Have you even seen Florida play the last 2 years? Not to defend Mullen, but he's doing a better job at MSU than Muschamp is at Florida. Their offense is below #100 in the nation for the 3rd straight year. That shouldn't even be possible.

It probably shouldn't be a surprise if Muschamp is terminated sometime between now and end of season. They don't have a lot of patience down there. They also have more money than sense.

Think he'd be interested in d-coord job next year?**

Muschamp was a mistake when they hired him. They could have easily hired a good proven head coach. I'll be surprised if he makes it past the end of this season.

I agree. I originally thought he would be ok but when his first thought was to completely revamp the offense to a pro style power team I thought it would end up being a mistake. You are in Florida and the big three have won with speed not by pounding it. Still has great defenses though.

Florida by a landlside. I thought when they hired Muschamp and then brought in Charlie Weis, coupled with the Florida talent pool, they were about to take over college football. That's a collapse of bibilical proportions.

Yeah.

Every one of their games. That's why I said he makes Mullen look like Bear Bryant...because Muschamp sucks.

It was also highly unusual for Florida to hire a defensive minded guy, at least highly unusual for them.

Really??
charley pell - defensive guy
galen hall - offensive guy
Gary Darnell - defensive guy
spurrier - offensive
zook- defensive
meyer- offensive
muschamp - defensive

4 defensive vs 3 offensive does not equate to highly unusual

I must have been thinking about the duo of Spurrier and Meyer, their most successful by far.

I've never been sold on Charlie Weis being a good coach. Or even a decent one.

First off, Muschamp has the emotional maturity of a 5-year-old. That's not helping. In Year 1, fans may love your "passion" but by Year 3, fans get sick of that act.

I think it's always 50-50 when someone who's never been a head coach is given a HC job at a "major" program. Every HC says the thing they realize, early, is how much their job is not related to coaching any more. And, when you bring in a guy who has to learn on the job at a high-profile job like Florida, it has to be tough. Plus, like a lot of guys who haven't been a HC, Muschamp has still tried to be the unofficial D-Coordinator. It's not impossible, but doesn't work many times.

And, again, the guy looks like a moron on the sidelines with all his emotional outburst. If I was a Gator fan, that crap would wear thin real quick - and I wonder if it doesn't wear on his assistants and players even more quickly since they have to be around it every day. Bo Pelini acted like that for a year or two until Tom Osborne pulled him aside and he's chilled out quite a bit. I don't think anyone's done that for Muschamp. That stuff is okay when you're an assistant but when you're stomping around and throwing your headphones 20 times a game, you look like an immature ***.

I always thought he acted like an immature frat boy on the sidelines when he was at Auburn. I halfway expected to see him doing a keg stand after a key Auburn defensive play.
