Penn states success in bball which is minimal notwithstanding a couple of games by a senior dominated team is irrelevant to the big ten at large. Almost any dope knows this.

Who cares about conferences ? Really . they are our competition and they HATE us. They say we don’t belong . We cant be hoping they come up roses .
Just seen an article mentioning him as a possibility . saying " he coached at both Temple and his alma mater of Penn. He is familiar with the state and it’s recruiting ability in the state."

Not so fast, my friend. Word on the street is that the Lions are going hard after Jay Wright.
Everyone saw this coming (well almost everyone). Penn State is not a place where a basketball coach wants to remain for their career and he was losing basically his entire team.

The tweet was from a reporter and he's probably looking at it from a conference macro-level. The better the coaches in the conference, the better the teams in the conference, the better the conference looks. Losing quality coaches (and I am not sure Shrewsberry is even a great coach) hurts that.
It's funny because during the season, if any media person slights the BIG, you guys get your dander up.

Shrewsbury gave them their best season in years (still lost to Rutgers twice) and couldn’t fill their stupid arena half way. Opened up the curtains upstairs for just 1 game (Rutgers) and it was only on the sidelines not the endzones. 0 chance for real sustained success there
