With the state moving the playoffs back a week, does that create a conflict with the NC/SC Shrine Bowl game and state championship games?

Yes. NC is same day. SC is delayed also and I think they are the week before. SC pushed the playoffs back a week last year also due to the flooding.

So players from state championship teams will not be playing in the Shrine game?
And Coach Gentry from Murphy could be coaching in a state championship game and he is our head coach.

I read where SC is in the same delima as NC. Their State Championships are the same as ours this year.

Correct. NC state title games and Shrine Bowl were same weekend for about 17 years. Harold Robinson was scheduled to be the head coach in 2001 but was delayed until the following year due to his team was in the 2001 small 1A title game. In 2002 Shrine Bowl was moved back to the week before Christmas. In 2001 Scotland's Mark Barnes moved from assistant position and would be the HC selection in 2011 while at Crest.
He is now the HC at Sumter SC.

Thanks for the info btango! Means the coaches selecting the players must be prepared to replace some top talent.
