if you signed up for an annual subscription on BDJ - someone I know today got charged $100 by Maroon and White Mag(parent company of BDJ) via his paypal account that then charged his credit card. So you will need to stop the recurring payments in your paypal account to prevent this from happening.

Questions for those of you who are members there: Did you sign up for recurring payments to Maroon and White Mag? Did you give them this type of authority?

This is one of those times where people understand why I am a crazy person about not setting up automatic payments for any services. The only draft I have that is automatic from any account is my mortgage. I argue like hell with any company that says their policy only allows automatic drafts from my account until they give in.

Yes, this makes me an old guy who is too protective of the **** I work hard to earn.

I'm with you, but I have automatic draft set up on my loans, too... but I manage the hell out of it. I save every email and letter from them and the first time something goes wrong, I will be on the phone with them. I don't think automatic draft is a bad idea for mortgages and specific loans, but you have to be VERY careful with it. I would NOT set up an automatic draft for a magazine subscription or other "luxury." I'll make those payments on my own.

Evidently Michael heard that there interweb thingy works from anywhere and just not in the Triangle of Gold so once the heat got too hot there he took his laptop elsewhere and set up a new hustle camp where he didn't face the possibility of running into an arse whupping or uh I mean former subscriber daily
