Pretty pumped about the next few days of football coming up. I've seen a lot of improvement in these JV Dogs the last two weeks. The defense looks solid and fast after a few tweaks. I think tonights game will be close but I think Murphy is a lot faster than the Knights and has the team to keep them bottled up. The Dogs have the best QB in the conference along with some speedy backs. There's been a lot of talk about Williams from Robbinsville this week. If we were talking about 2019 I would agree with the hype, he's going to be good but this is 2018 and hes 13. Speed and freshman get it done for the Dogs tonight!

Sounds about right. I watched the Murphy - Andrews game and was impressed with the speed of the team. I felt like the defense needed some work but sounds like they have been working on it.
Last week I went and watched the Robbinsville - Cherokee game and was impressed with their defense. I think they only gave up a couple first downs all night. It seemed like they stayed in good position and didn't miss many tackles.
Should be a great game.

I disagree. I think Robbinsville's QB is shifty and can stretch it out. Williams is fast but to me he's still a year away.
I was impressed with the Williams boy running after contact. The first man does have his hands full trying to tackle him. Reminds me of the Matheson boy from Robbinsville a few years ago. Good hard runner.
I don't disagree, I just think Murphy and swain have the size and speed to slow that down this year. Groenwald from swain is also one of the best backs in the conference. He's a freshman and will be a special player on varsity.

100% agree he is just 13. Got to go with the older boys on the JV level for sure.

Swains whole offense and defense is native kids, everyone!!!!!!!!! Halftime here is 8-0 tha other half of our state championships!!!!

Is that a Division I School like App State or is it a Division II School like North Georgia. You do know they are more perks with a Division I School and great contacts
Murphy played three good quarters of football, 4th quarter not so much. Glad to get the win but can't take our foot off the gas like that. Great job by Robbinsville showing a lot of grit to hang in there and fight back. Good luck rest of the season.
It's a shame the kid could be a Kenton Braswell type fullback if he would buy in.
Wood is legit at halfback but with Laney injured there arent a lot of options at fullback. I would consider putting the Brinke kid at fullback and shifting Wood back to halfback and the other kid back to wing. JMO

Brinke would have been my #1 choice at FB in the beginning.
Robbinsville has a great defense and a gritty football team. I thought Williams got better as the game went on, seemed to keep is stamina. Probably attributed to his wrestling conditioning. He will be a load for anyone next year.
I thought so too. Not sure who the 7th and 8th grader are on each team but that boy has to be on top of the list for next year.
He will certainly be at the top of the list next year. Talking about next year. Martin from Andrews will be a beast. The gillis kid from hayesville (if he's still there?) is a great RB and is very physical. I think Swain loses about everyone this year.
Brinke might be a fullback but he is an excellent guard and LBer ,not sure who his back up is at guard, and were talking about JV, kids change by varsity time ,kagney played guard on JV and fullback on varsity, shannon played fullback on JVs and started at guard for 3 years on Varsity.
