....I am not saying that I do, but I don't think it's fair to just write the whole thing off. According to her, Pitino arranged for a restaurant owner to leave the keys with them and he raped her there in the restaurant while one of his assistants was drunk on the floor. Then, he set her up with Tim Sypher (another asst.) to marry her. Then, he raped her again at her husband's condo while the husband was upstairs. For the duration of their marriage, the husband kept trying to get her to drop it. Pitino also paid for her to get an abortion.
Pitino does not dispute the first sexual encounter, and I find his claim that $3k was given to her to buy health insurance laughable. The rest of it seems far fetched to me from her standpoint, but what I don't understand is why this hasn't been a bigger issue.
It's undisputed that Rick Pitino had a sexual encounter with a woman (not his wife) in a restaurant after it closed and that woman had an abortion and Pitino gave her money for medical reasons. I mean, is that not pretty serious, even if all the rest is BS? Would there not a be a shitstorm over Stansbury? Doesn't this make AK look like the Pope? I don't get it. It's like the media likes Pitino and all sort of feel bad for him, so it's not really blowing up.
